I'm just curious...

...why does every other team in the League view expiring contracts as an asset...especially when it involves a big man who can rebound, play defense, and hit free throws and 15 foot shots...

...but the Suns view that same expiring contract as a liability...where they feel the need to unload future picks to get rid of it? The salary was coming off the books next year with NO draft picks lost for Christmas sakes.

Kerr has shown why he was given the job...not becauise he has the skills to build a championship team...but because he was willing to make the cost cutting moves Sarver wanted. He's a but muncher. Period.

I've bled orange and purple the last 13 years...but enough is enough. We were inches away of winning it all last year...and this year we go to battle without our best low post defender...and less 3 point shooters than we have ever had the last three years...with this being Nash's last realistic stand...

...and our future picks forfeited....so if we don't win it all...we won't have the picks to reload.

Only an unrealistic homer would say that this offseason has been a success. Mr. Sarver...if you can't afford the toy...please sell it to someone who can. You don't buy a Farrari if you can't afford the gas.

Expiring contracts are not "assets". Their only value is when somebody has a terrible contract they want to get rid of, which is usually not something you want unless you are GM for the Knicks.
