The Oakland Athletics activated reliever Andrew Bailey from the disabled list Sunday but plan to ease the two-time All-Star back into the closer's role. Bailey had been out since March 30 with a strained right forearm and was cleared to return after making his fourth rehab appearance in the minors Friday.
