Hold onto the ball, Murray!
Didn't receive the email.
Good call Steve. That's not a setting I usually disable, but it was disabled. So you have "receive email from administrators" turned on?
+1No email
So you have "receive email from administrators" turned on? If so, my next guess is they only sent it to the really special people.
Steve
I know I have admin email because I get notified when I get a PM.....which is about twice a year, if that. I'm not one of the special people. Maybe its because my name is spelled Stephan, not Steven...
.
What happened to the ability to delete posts?

Have you thought of having corrective surgery performed on your name? Then we'd let you into our special little group.
BTW, the "receive email from administrators" is on the same "Edit Options" screen as the PM notification option but they aren't the same. You could have one activated and not the other.
Steve
I changed the delete setting. If you guys want a post deleted, report it or pm me and I will remove it. I just don't like allowing members to delete posts. Sorry.
I will have to look into the email issues.
Agree. I have made mistakes or posted in the wrong forum before so it's a nice feature to have. Just my .02I can't speak for anyone else but having someone else remove my post would not be a substitution for doing it myself, the damage would have already been done. Obviously, it's your call but it's a big loss IMO.
Steve
Just so you guys know you can still edit a post on the Tapatalk app so you may want to download that
Oh trust me I know that feeling all too wellIt's not that - you can still edit your post. But you used to be able to remove your post completely.
Sometimes you say something so incredibly stupid you just want it gone before anyone else can see you made a fool of yourself. And by you, I mean ME. And sometimes that same "you" reads something that sends you a little bit over the edge and you craft your response immediately and walk away thrilled that you've reduced your "opponent" to tears. Five minutes later you come to your senses and remember this is the internet and comments like that do far more harm than good. In the past, we had an immediate solution and now we don't. We can still edit out most of what we've said so I guess it's not really that big of a deal but it had been a nice face-saving feature.

This. I've done that and then thought, "Oh please, please, please internet don't cut out on me before I can take that down so I don't prove I'm an idiot."
Yep.
