I have a fear Hunter will be one of those aggravating players who flashes talent for a few games then disappears for a week or two. That's more aggravating than a total bust IMO because the temptation to throw quality minutes at him will always be there.
The best way to find out if that is true or not -- and to help it not happen -- comes down to one management philosophy -- CONSISTENCY.

Use the pre-season to choose each player's role, then stick with it from the start of the season . . . unless or until you find that it's just not working.

Whether the Suns or D'backs, it's been frustrating for the fans (and, from what we read, the players) coming to the game, not knowing what their roll will be that night.

And a coaching staff that chooses its lineup to try to match up with that night's opponent, instead of going with your best rotation which has built chemistry, game after game.

The strong teams make the opponent match up to you. And, this year, the Suns just might be able to do that. I hope they do.

It was my speculation when the Suns traded down in the draft this summer that they were hoping to get lucky and go with some estimates that David Harrison may fall in their lap at #32. Harrison was brought in early for a workout and the Suns made their evaluation that he was not worthy of a first round commitment but could justify a second round contract. At this point I think the Suns are happy that it did not happen and they made off better when Stephen Hunter was released by the Cavs. Hunter has been already paid first round money and also a buyout. Being reunited with Richardson could be a huge benefit to igniting his motivation and could be a steal with a one year contract for under a million bucks in comparison to what Indiana had to commit to with Harrison. I think Harrison may turn out to be better than Hunter but not until he goes through the same 2-3 year NBA adjustment period Hunter has already experienced.

If Vroman can spell the 3 Centers

Judging from this board, that will be tricky. Many posters still write something like "Voshkul" instead of "Voskuhl," and while "Lampe" is fairly easy, "Maciej" is giving people a lot of trouble. On the other hand, at least we don't have "Iakovos Tsakalidis" around anymore -- that was a real nightmare.

Wait ... you did mean spell their names, didn't you?

George I believe that the article you wrote is on the mainpage of the site. So I was wondering why you would post the article again. It seems to me that you are seeking praise to boost your self esteem . Do you like to have people say you wrote a good article because that can be arranged, but don't waste space on the forum with a repeat article just to gain praise. Thank you

thanks Jim. I don't know how I missed that post, but I would have deleted it earlier had I seen it. Writing those articles is not easy. I certainly don't enjoy doing it. Thank you George for the good job you do with them.
