Their starting Jan. 8th on 620 AM. They get the 2pm-6pm afternoon slot after the Dan Patrick Show.

It was a financially smart move as they will be making a lot more and it is well deserved. Their the best local radio show in the valley and get great guests daily.

Well I know they have an FM version of it now...

But are they keeping 620 and then having the FM be the sports one? Confused?

Sports 620 KTAR and News 92.3 KTAR.

Sports 620 KTAR: Program Schedule
December 31st, 2006

At 12:01 a.m., Jan. 1, 2007, Valley listeners will start getting their sports talk programming on Sports 620 KTAR on the AM dial.

For decades, KTAR has been the state's leader in providing news, traffic, weather, sports, and the best local talk shows on the radio.

"On Monday, January, 1, KTAR will launch its all sports station," said Erik Hellum, vice president and market manager of KTAR.

Within days of KTAR launching its all sports station on 620 AM, Ryan Hatch, program director, announces the program line-up. Doug Franz and Ron Wolfley will start the morning as the on-air hosts of The Doug and Wolf Show from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. weekdays.

Franz, a 15 year veteran talk show host joins KTAR from Kansas City, where he was a morning sports personality on 610 Sports KCSP.

With a NFL career spanning more than 10 years, Wolfley is no stranger to sports. His career launched in 1985 with the then St. Louis Cardinals. He played seven seasons for the Cardinals, including three seasons after the club's move to Phoenix in 1988, before joining the Cleveland Browns and finishing his career with the St. Louis Rams. The fullback earned four-consecutive Pro Bowl berths, thanks to his aggressive special teams play. He was the head football coach at Phoenix College and for the past five seasons served as the Rattlers' radio color analyst. He is currently a color analyst for the Arizona Cardinals.

Hatch has experience building a dominant all-sports station. He interviewed several experienced candidates and aired many together for trial shows. When he heard Franz and Wolfley on-air, he knew he found Sports 620 KTAR's morning team.

Right now 860 is playing a continuous loop of commercials for 620.

Pretty cool, but will Suns games go on the FM station or AM?

Was nice to have them on the FM...sounds so much better.

Sucks...rather have them do 2-3 hours and have another show in there. No need for a 5 hour show.
