Vince, have you advanced any further? Im now trying to kill the #2 on the list.. The evil doctor.. But work is hindering my playing time.. Prolly play 2 hours a week.. Which is about 1 and a half hours more than I usually play video games every month.. But this game has me addicted, by my own standards lol..

Mass Effect came out a week later & has taken up more of my time. Now I've beat Mass Effect, and I'm beginning to play AC again. I'm up to the 6th guy in the game and the story is beginning to really develop. Having fun :)

I beat the game last night. I hope you've got your fighting chops up for the final hour of the game, that's for sure!

I won't spoil anything for you, but the ending is kinda "meh". It's a bit weak and is just basically a set-up for the next game. When all three of the games in the trilogy are done, I'm sure it's going to be one of the most fantastic storylines ever, but right now this first game is merely the exposition of the plot.

All-in-all a great game though, if a bit repetitive at times.

I want this game so bad but I have don't have a ton of time. So until I finish Bio Shock and Mass Effect, I probably won't pick this up. I am chomping at the bit though.

If you are going to get it, now seems to be the time, since the game is $39.99 at TRU.....

Picked it up at Target for same price. Then I broke down and bought Tomb Raider Anniversary addition. Then also bought Stargate SG1: The Ark of Truth.

Thanks Dream....i wouldn't have gone to the store if you hadn't mentioned it was on sale.

Has anyone played this in the PC? I downloaded the demo, and the mouse+keyboard controls are jacked up. I've tried remapping the key commands from the NUMPAD to my extra mouse buttons, but there's no option for that.

I may have to play it strictly with a gamepad (which I do not have for the PC). If that's the case, I will have to try it out on the PS3 then.

I've just started it (only to set it aside, DLC for F3 beckons).

The controls do take a little getting used to, but now that I've got it down, it's not so bad. Have yet to plug in my 360 controller and find out if that's better though.

I borrowed my daughter's PS3 version. Loads easier to control, however...why is that I'm always getting in trouble while I'm walking around?

Am I braking the speed limit or something?

Fun to play, but travel is a major pain in the ass.

If you commit too many open murders, the guards will instantly recognize you as a troublemaker, targeting you even if someone bumps into your character, if you stand in place too long, or even if you walk too close to them.

Personally, I like to grab the 'lepers' and beggars and throw them into walls, other people, and (if at all possible) the water. That takes care of them, but it also arouses the suspicion of the guards. Also, remember to hit the B button (not sure what it is for the PS3) and that should allow you to put a hand on nearby individuals preventing them from bumping into you or dropping their pottery (which they are so fond of lugging around).

In addition, running is listed as a way for guards to pay more attention to you. For some reason when you run in front of a guard they assume that you did something wrong. Since there is no court of law, they also prefer to be judge, jury and executioner (although the latter is usually avoidable because of the game's simple equation: Altaïr > All). The game is a lesson in patience if you want to do everything seamlessly. But later on the tasks get too repetitive to have any sort of patience to pick pocket someone for the thousandth time.

On that note though, the early reviews for Assassin's Creed II have noted the repetitiveness of the previous game and they are adding in more unique missions to avoid the repetition problem.

Edit: In case anyone was wondering about the sequel, it is set to be released on November 17, 2009.

I've had this game for almost 2 years and I've played it about 20 minutes... nothing I really felt was special, but I may give it a chance just before the next madden game rolls

I had the game for almost 3 months before I played it. Same thing...first impression was blah. However, I am glad I gave it a chance. Once I got into the game I thought it was a blast.

Like others have said, some repetitive things in the game but it sounds like they are really trying to avoid that in the next one.
