The raises can't compound. This has been stated many times. The increase is limited to 10% of the first year's salary.

To answer the original question, yes, I'll be disappointed. I doubt that the Suns will be in a better position at the end of the summer than they would have been if they'd gotten Richardson.

I've been resigned the Clippers matching for a long time, though.

The one team everyone is forgetting with regards to Eisley is Houston - they have a $5.5M trade exception at their disposal, and a really big need for a veteran point guard that would excel in a half-court, structured offense. Sounds like Eisley to me (well, at least to the wishful-thinking half of me)... :)

We talked about Eisley to Houston a few weeks ago. I'm guessing the Suns would have to take back something on the deal, although it might fit straight up if the Suns gave up Vujanic and a future second in the deal. Seems unlikely the Rockets would do it without making the Suns take back a bad contract.

Sorry - forgive my newbie-ness... :)

No problem and BTW, welcome aboard.

The discussion came up as part of rumored deal that would send Mihm to the Suns and Eisley to the Rockets. I can't speak for everyone, but I think the consensus was that the proposed deal had too many flaws to be legit. However, the subject of the Rockets needing a veteran PG and their trade exemption was one part that certainly interested me. However, no one believes the Rockets would take Eisley straight up without sending back a bad contract or getting other stuff. Eisley is that overpaid.
