An update on the progress of the quarterbacks. Accuracy has been an issue for all the candidates.
By Cole Bradley, 247 Sports:
Even though Bourguet and Tyson have struggled to show proficiency as passers so far, particularly during 11-on-11 segments, Jones hasn't really separated himself as a passer. He has slightly improved through four practices while adjusting under ASU offensive coordinator
Glenn Thomas' new scheme, but the offense hasn't looked particularly good at moving the ball through the air. Often, it has struggled quite a bit.
Much like Tyson and Bourguet, Jones has had troubles in terms of accuracy, with a number of misfired intermediate and deep passes that have fallen either well short of the mark or out of the reach of their intended target. There've been several ugly interceptions, including by Jones, who has at times sailed the ball over receivers or thrown behind them into traffic.
ASU is through just four practices but it may have already narrowed down its starting signal-caller.
