Ozier with the big catch for a TD or am I mistaken about the receiver?

Ozier! The new household name! Huge third and 12, touchdown. Had we just got a field goal there, our lead would have been 6. Now, we are up 10. Huge effort!

Why would ASU attempt a FG on 4th down? It could have gotten blocked or anything could happen.

Good win by ASU. Would have been nice to get some of those missed field goals, but a win is a win. Some around here weren't expecting this. But hats off to a very impressive defensive performance.

Nice win. I'll take it.

The Sun Devils need to examine if they have any potential walk-on kickers that can kick FGs. There must be some players on campus that kicked in high school.

Graham wasn't a well loved hire but he's got them playing better than almost anyone expected. I hope he hangs around awhile.

We need to pretend we don't have a field goal kicker and just consider it four down territory. Pretending we do have a field goal kicker certainly isn't working.

Kind of funny how everyone was saying ASU's D would be tested this week since facing a "starter" QB for the first time.

14 tackles for a loss

8 sacks

Hold Call QB Maynard to 9/28 for 126 yards passing.

I think the D passed that test.

If we can survive the bye week and a road game at 1-4 Colorado, we'll be 5-1 when the Ducks come to town. Then the real schedule starts.

It's your first starting QB faced, but Maynard sucks FWIW

Talked to a Cal fan/alum after the game. Told me that no one is on board with this team and there is too much resemblance to the squad that went 1-10 in 2001.

It's nice for the Sun Devils to start the conference season at 2-0 and be atop the Pac 12 South. I'll take it.

Does having a quarterback rating of over 120 the last three years and throwing for about 3,000 yards last year really suck?
http://espn.go.com/college-football/player/_/id/384118/zach-maynard

His O-line seems pretty suspect with their pass protection, but he had Keenan Allen to throw to, a top tier receiver who had over 1,000 yards last year.

So you can downplay our victory all you want, but it is still a big road win for ASU.

Sure, build up our victory all you want but did you talk to a Cal fan/alum?

Glad that it didn't come down to a late field goal.

Actually the Sun Devil's offense has been more suspect than their defense in road games against Missouri and California.

I'll give California one thing, besides their past hex on the Sun Devils on the road, they have a nice stadium in a beautiful setting.

No coincidence. They were also the two best defenses ASU has faced so far, and it gets a lot harder after Colorado. Cal and Missouri defensive stats are deceiving, because they've both played a MUCH more challenging schedule ASU's other opponents have faced. Playing Ohio State, USC, South Carolina and Georgia will not help your defensive stats.

Well, Cal just did us a favor by giving UCLA a conference loss

Awesome, I watched part of the game. Funny watching UCLA with ASU's offense from last year, swing pass out to the flat, repeat repeat repeat.

If Cal lit up UCLA's D, hopefully we can do the same
