Lots to talk about unlike the other offseason thread- a bowl game, new coaching staff, recruits, facility upgrades, etc.... An exciting time to be an ASU fan. Go Devils!

I know in the other thread, a lot of people seem to be in a rush to hire a coach and hire one soon.

In my opinion, if I'm Lisa Love and other members of the hiring committee, I'm taking my precious time and searching for the right candidate.

Obviously, with Miami and Alabama both searching for coaches, the Sun Devils don't want to waste TOO much time, but I still think they're better off evaluating all options before jumping at the first appealing candidate that comes to mind.

I know it's early to herald the guy yet, but so far Herb Sendek has done a very good job with ASU's men's hoops program. If you recall, Sendek was one of those names that wasn't even on the radar when the search began.

My opinion, play out the bowl game with Hawai'i, evaluate your options and hire the best coach from there. Remember, the names were hearing now may not be the best available..

Fox 10 news said that Norm Chow will be interviewed and they said that Chow said that he would love the job.....:| I really can't imagine him being that much better than Koetter though he does have some experience on both levels.

^He does have the advantage of being a big name, which may help w/ recruiting. But my two worries are his lack of Head Coaching experience, and his age. Ideally I'd like to find a 40 year old (or so) coach who can be at ASU for a very long time. Thats why I had so much hope for DK, he was young and ASU was his dream job, I wanted him to have success so bad and be the next Kush.

I think Chow would be a bad choice. This hiring has to be on the money for Love with the DK debacle and I just don't think he's the guy. He's old, never been a HC and a lot of people say his attitude sucks. Not sure if that last part is true or not, just what I've heard on the radio.

As a Cats fan, here's hoping you hire the guy. But if I were a Devil's fan, I'd be praying he's brought in as an OC only.

Go Cats!

Kind of sad and ironic that the author of this article rips on the local media for it's botched handling of the Koetter post-firing press conference. He's quick to mention the misspellings of "Rob English" and "atletics director".

BUT, in his very own article... he misspells Brandon Faulkner's name.

Superb journalism. Where do I apply?
