Talk about recruiting early. ASU offers a scholarship to an 8th grader and the recruiting service is run by former Cardinals GM Steve Keim.

Found this list...

Not many 4-stars on that list, but I'm sure Dillingham and Co. will be big in the portal, as usual. High school recruiting is so different these days, as signees can easily transfer out in a year or two, even before they develop. At any rate, Karpman seems to be especially high on the big TE from Orange County, A.J. Ia.

ASU is ranked #37 nationally.

I was wondering about the lack of Arizona players, but damn. AZ football talent is still thin. Only 4 players who are rated 4 stars nationally, none of whom are staying in state. Four to the Big Ten (W,O and Wisconsin) and one to SEC (A&M).

No wonder almost all the focus is on TX and CA. Not that we are racking up many4 star guys from those states but at least you know the 3 star players there have much deeper competition.

Meh, it's not really as interesting as it used to be. In two years half of them will be gone and you don't know who

The transfer portal has really thrown a monkey wrench into college football, however, I'm not worried about recruiting too much since Dillingham has laid the foundation. He will now be building on it.

Kenny is a player's coach, which should be a recipe for success. Also, I think he maximizes the talent given. However, If I were a local player, I'd want to stay home and play for the Sun Devils.
