E: Also I just thought of Carson Desrosiers. He was down to a final 3 of Wake Forest, Marquette and ASU (a pretty diverse final 3) and chose Wake. Theyve since fired their Coach and I wonder if ASU would have a shot with him. Hopefully Sendek and Dedrique Taylor are making a push for him. He's #87 overall on Rivals rankings.
One would think so, but you'd think wake already has someone lined up for them to do this right now but you never know. There are some really bad AD's out there.

I see my boy Dino Gaudio got canned. He may have had a hard time winning a tournament game but 61-31 isn't too shabby. Plus losing Teague, Johnson & now AFF didn't help. On top of all that he is coaching in the toughest conference in the country, the ACC. He had another good class coming in, ASU could poach DesRosiers, we'll see how loyal he is to Wake.

Who does ASU have upfront right now? It almost looks like Lockett or Keala King is going to have to play some 4 next season?

Guard depth is really nice though, Abbott, McMillan, Lockett, King, Dunson 3 of them showed they can play last year and King and Dunson are highly regarded.

Center: Pateev (So)/Bachynski (Fr)
PF: Rudd (So)/Creekmur (Fr)

If McCombs commits, I assume he'll play Center even though he's more naturally a 4. He's very similar in build to Pendergraph and Pateev and Bachynski are both projects.

Rudd at PF is a scary proposition, I don't remember him ever venturing inside the 3 point line, and looks like weighs less than 200. We have some glaring holes in the front court.

Well its 'power' forward in name only. Is Rudd at that slot really any scarier than Rihards Kuksisk whos been playing there for the last 3 years?

Really with Sendeks system its more a Point Guard, a Post Player and 3 wings that are fairly interchangeable. Rudd clearly likes to hang outside and shoot threes which is fine if he can hit them at a decent rate, but he's vastly more athletic than Kuksiks, so he'll be an upgrade there at least.

Hopefully...considering we had a terrible front court this year, and the fact that Rudd could barely get garbage time minutes, not the best sign. Add in the fact that he's had issues in the past, and there is talk of him leaving the program, and I'm skeptical of any contributions and would be very surprised if he were an upgrade on Kuksiks. (Someone I don't hold in much regard)

And that's assuming he's even at ASU, his name is fairly prominent among the "may transfer" list in the Pac 10. Others are Jerime Anderson at UCLA and Josh Crittle and Matt Humphrey at Oregon(depends on Kenny Payne staying as an assistant apparently).

Offensively, I think ASU's going to find it a challenge to run that offense without Glasser. They couldn't make a decent entry pass without him. But it's not like they've got anyone that's going to score in the post on a regular basis.

Defensively it looks much more complicated. Boateng at least took up space.

It's a good thing Sendek's built up some good will, because it looks like he's going to pay for some careless recruiting. The next year or two.
