This should be a great game with Missouri coming off a trouncing by #7 Georgia. http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=322520142 Missouri actually led late in the 3rd, but then Georgia put up 24 unanswered points.

Missouri didn't get much on the ground against Georgia and attempted 41 passes for 269 yards. Their QB Franklin looks tough as do their receivers.

Will definitely have to keep the pressure coming, or this could be a shoot out.

Looks like ASU's offense is now ranked 13th in the nation in net total yards, 2nd in scoring, ASU's defense is 5th in sacks. ASU's defense leads the nation in interceptions with 6.

I don't know what the over/under will be, but I'd take the over on this game. Maybe pushing 100 pts. between the two teams.

My brother and I are making the trip. Hopefully we will do better than the last 3 road trips I have been on - Oregon, Wisconsin, and Georgia. This team is a lot more disciplined than DEs teams so I am excited about this matchup.

A couple of concerns heading into Missouri. Brandon Magee didn't play against Illinois because of symptoms reportedly related to a concussion. I'm hoping he can play against Missouri. Also freshman linebacker Carlos Mendoza suffered a separated shoulder in the Illinois game. Too bad because I thought he looked good. I believe he had two pass interceptions.

See article written by Doug Haller dated 9-9-12 at azcentral.

Yeah, get with it, JF.

I heard Mustache Nation is going. Don't light any matches around them.

I'm concerned about gap discipline from the defensive line. You can't get deeper than the QB, and edge rushers are doing it every play. No coverage for the B and C gaps. You CANNOT do this against Franklin.

Those are big, but not like Illinois losing Scheelhaase.

Sounds like Mizzou's O-line is banged up in general, which might give ASU some edge in containing Franklin.

I know I'm counting my chickens WAY before they hatch here, but things do seem to be lining up for ASU to potentially be 6-0 going into Oregon. Illinois was sans their QB, Mizzou coming off a big loss and some key injuries-will they fold like ASU has done in years past? Utah's QB retired, Cal and Colorado both look awful and have lost to lower echelon teams.

SDS will be rocking if ASU is 6-0 (or even 5-1 w/ a respectable loss @ Mizzou) when the Ducks come to town on a Nationally televised Thursday night game.

I just hope, if that happens, ASU doesn't totally crap the bed like they always have in the past 15 years.

And once again, yes I know I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm not on the team, it doesn't matter, it's fun to think ahead :)

Actually very much within the realm of possibility.

But I think we need to take this one game at a time. Our secondary is so very thin its not even funny. They are now moving Deantre Lewis over to help. And our secondary has really not been tested yet. That test should come this week.

Well looks like LB Carlos Mendoza will need shoulder surgery and is out for the year. That sucks. At least he can think about those 2 INT's during his time off.

It may be! Mizzou is the only game before Oregon that I feel like is a "should lose" game. ASU was 5-1 going into the Oregon game last year (ranked #18) and then it all unraveled.

It'll be interesting to see if ASU goes into that game again this year in a similar situation how it all unfolds.

Bummer, he showed great instinct so far. I hope he can somehow get a medical RS & not lose this year of eligibility.

What's everyone's prediction on the game?

My guess is 35-24 ASU

What's everyone's prediction on the game?

I feel confident that ASU has a good shot at winning, but who knows? ASU has been horrible on the road in recent years. Has that changed b/c of Graham?

This should be the 1st week ASU isn't playing a backup QB for large portions of the game, ASU has a QB who's never played on the road, Cam Marshall doesn't seem 100%, ASUs secondary is a mess, etc etc.

There's too many unknowns to able to say you have a good feel for the game I think. After this week I think we'll know a lot more about ASU, and whether they'll struggle to get Bowl eligible or if they're a team that can maybe somehow win 8+ games.

Fair enough, but if we win at Missouri, will you be drinking the Koolaid with me?

I feel very good about the direction of the program, but I don't see this team beating a decent team from a power conference on the road. I think they have a better shot of beating Oregon at home than they do Missouri on the road, and I'm not sure Missouri is a Top 25 team (probably between 20 - 30).

Rumors out of Columbia are that Franklin may not be able to go and they'll start their #2 QB.

If true...wow. The breaks are really going ASUs way so far. Who knows, this backup could be the 2nd coming of Blaine Gabbert, but you've got to think its advantage ASU. Being able to get a win on the road against a good BCS school, even if it is against a backup QB, would be a huge boost of confidence for ASU.

Rolling into the Oregon game with a good record could be more and more likely.
