Un-F'n-believable. This is just so beyond disgusting I can't even express it in words.

ALL OF HIS ASSISTANTS JUST LEFT TO COACH WITH RICH ROD!!!!!!!!!

How does anyone at the AD still have a job?

June Jones with Klemm is looking like a dream at this point. ASU football is officially irrelevant.

I have now talked to enough people to think it is true. Todd Graham apparently is headed to AZ State. #Pitt

He has one year coaching at a BCS school and winds up win six wins, same as Erickson. June Jones would of been a better hire. What I like is Rodriguez took many of his assistants. He also seems to like to switch jobs, that is what I would be worried about besides his lack of coaching at a major school.

Wow, what a joke. Can't believe I've given money to this school.

This should make ASU fans happy: Pitt this year ranked 21st nationally in fewest penalty yards per game, just 40.75 per game.

Most of his staff from this year went to UofEh with RichPRod. Rumors of him stealing them back from Tucson are going around.

If Graham's assistants wanted to coach under Graham, they would have stayed at Pitt and coached under Graham.

His text to his players at Pitt:

"I have resigned my position at Pitt in the best interest of my family to pursue the head coaching position at Arizona State," Graham said. "Coaching there has always been a dream of ours and we have family there. The timing of the circumstances have prohibited from telling you this directly. I now am on my way to Tempe to continue those discussions. God Bless. Coach Graham."

Jim Rome already absolutely blew up Todd Graham for the way he handled his exit. Said, "Bobby Petrino thought he was out of line."

I agree with you. It doesn't make sense.

I wish that ASWho? would have gone another direction. Freaking embarrassing.

Todd Graham to Arizona State? HUH? What? I will never understand that hire. Ever. #ArizonaState #CFB #Pittsburgh

PaulZeise Paul Zeise

Todd Graham called Calvin Magee, Tony Gibson and Tony Dews "mercenaries" when they left for #Arizona. #Pitt

Too funny.

I'm withholding judgement until I see what kind of staff he brings with him... You have to believe that before he actually accepted the position he had a pretty good idea who he could steal to come with...

It is better than June Jones at least...

Totally out of left field. Funny enough, my girlfriend's dad is from Pittsburgh and is a HUGE Pitt fan. He emailed me this morning asking how our coaching search was going. I had just finished writing about the epic failure that it had been so far when I saw this on twitter. I don't know much about Graham so I asked him and he liked him. "Good energy" and had a good recruiting class lined up. However, he lost all respect for him by bailing after a year.

I need to see what assistants he'll bring. I hope he doesn't go after the guys who left him for UA. We need some guys with west coast ties.

Defending Todd Graham (Again)

Pretty good article at link.

So the consensus is he's about as good as Dave Wannstedt?

I really can't believe ASU made a hire based on who UofA hired for starters. Second I can't believe they just hired the a poor man's version of Dennis Franchione. Not to worry long-term though guys, you'll get Ron English in 2014 after he revives EMU enough to win the press conference and Graham bombs out or leaves to go somewhere else.

Don't count on it. Graham called them "mercenaries" when they left.

This is about the only thing I will say to defend him: He tried to take a very conservative roster and turn it into a free-wheeling Texas team. They had QB issues. Incidentally, the QB's father is Alabama LB coach Sal Sunseri, and if Pitt is smart, they'll hire him as replacement. Like, right now.

For the rest of it, I have to bite my lip. He's my coach now. This must be how it feels as a father when your daughter decides to marry a used car salesman. All I can do is shut up, smile, and hope I'm wrong. And foot the damn bill.
