Really a poor risk overall. Just kick the PAT and go to overtime. Even if it worked, there is still over a minute for OSU to get in FG range, and your defense hasn't exactly been shutting them down.

In my many years of watching college football I have found that you are what you are in college football. Short of some weird fluke where a famous alumni starts the largest sports apparel company ever and singlehandedly funds your program, there's like 15-20 programs that matter. Yes they occasionally have some struggles but for the most part are always in the conversation. And historically average programs like ASU will occassionally have a brief moment in the sun but for the most part be the same 30-40 program they have always been.

Could be worse, you could be UofA Football.

This team completely shut down after that HBO special aired, which I find ironic. That 2 pt conversion play was dumbfounding. I don't mind going for it, but to run a hb toss was insane... not a good call at all. I know the team is full of freshmen and growing pains were expected, but some of the play calls have been really suspect. I expect Herm will make some staff adjustments after the season is over, and just like we always say...there's always next season...

That was a game they had to have. The choice to go for two wasn't horrible but I fail to believe that has their best two point conversion play. If you make that choice, you run the best 2 point conversion play you have.

Now you have to beat UA to get a bowl bid and I want a bowl game for the extra practices.

Another thing I wanted to mention, Eno Benjamin does not have the speed to get around the corner at least consistently.

That's another reason I didn't like that attempt at a 2 point conversion.

They should have rolled Daniels out with a run-pass option.
