FWIW the rumor around Sacramento is Turner is considering reopening his recruitment because he's getting a lot of interest from big name national schools including several outside the West Coast. So ASU will apparently have to work to keep him but that's pretty normal when a kid commits that early.

Turner also might be changing highschools.

FWIW, Turner was in Tempe last weekend and he reafirmmed his commitment, thanks for the rumor though...

Yes I just read the same story on Scout. You will note though there's a reason they did a story on him confirming his commitment, you only do that if you are aware there are rumors the kid might be looking around. Same situation with UCLA and Tyler Lamb who recently confirmed he's still committed to UCLA and attended their skills camp over the weekend. After Turner signed up for the Kansas skills camp there were a lot of rumors he was going to reopen his recruitment, that's why the good folks at Devils Digest asked him was he still a firm commit to ASU.

Interesting that he's back with Pump N Run, I wonder if some of the recent bad stuff about Pat Barrett is scaring off kids from So Cal All Stars?

Turner is currently still at Sac High. the 3 best prospects in Sac are Turner, Ramon Eaton, and Darius Nelson(brother of Demarcus). According to the Sac Bee, Eaton and Nelson are probably leaving Sheldon HS for Sac High this year so they would be teammates with Turner if he stays there. As I said he's rumored to be going to Pleasant Grove HS, or possibly moving to LA.

As I said before I don't think UCLA is the school ASU would have to worry about with Turner anyways, they don't have enough rides, and if the rumor is true that Josh Smith is about to commit to UCLA, that's one less ride they have.

Well the simple answer is he's with Pump N Run because Greg Hicks of Scout advises the pumps on which kids to try and get on their team and Greg loves both Turner and Caudill. I think Anthony Brown is a Pump kid too and Greg really likes him.

I just wonder why he left SCA, I suspect that with what's happened to Mayo and going on with others if maybe elite kids are now just saying no point being associated with someone with a bad rep like Barrett currently has?

I've actually heard that after the UCLA skills camp they were so high on Spencer Dinwiddie that it persuaded Gelaun Wheelwright to verbal to USC, he figured that UCLA was more interested in Dinwiddie. So I'd be surprised if UCLA was trying to get Turner unless he decommits for sure in which case I would assume UCLA will go after him with Wheelwright gone.

As I said back in May he's been considering this for awhile because he's getting a lot of national interest. There's also some rumor he might wind up playing for Mater Dei in Santa Ana this year. Mater Dei has traditionally been very good to UA, UCLA hasn't really recruited them very well, that's why everyone believed the Lamb looking at UA rumors since he is at Mater Dei.

No I'm reading posts off BRO that say on the pay board on Devils Digest ASU fans are accusing the Pumps of steering Turner to UCLA. As I mentioned before I don't subscribe to DD so I can't read them but apparently that's what's being said on that board. if it's wrong, then the folks on BRO who posted it are being disingenuous.
