^No Harden has done well in lots of big games, he's just in a recent slump. Its very rare he strings bad games together, so I think he'll be back against 'Cuse. Now I still think 'Cuse will beat ASU, but I think James will be back to his normal self.

No.

@ UCLA - 24 pts 4 reb 1 ast
@ UofA - 21 pts 5 reb 3 ast
vs. Wash - 15 pts 4 reb 5 ast
vs. UCLA - 15 pts 7 reb 11 ast
vs. UofA - 18 pts 9 reb 5 ast
@ Wash - 19 pts 5 reb 4 ast
vs. Cal - 20 pts 2 reb 2 ast
UofA in L.A. - 27 pts 8 reb 4 ast
Wash in L.A. - 24 pts 9 reb 4 ast

Plus, he played the Pac 10 tourny with a bruised achilles. That's not an easy injury to play with and it doesn't heal quickly.

If Glasser continues to shoot the way he's shot the past two weeks, I give ASU a better chance than I gave them before the tournament started. He should have open looks against Syracuse, and again, I'm confident Harden gets better looks against a 2-3 zone.

If anything, I'm more concerned about how Pendergraph will contribute on both sides of the floor. He's going to have to play a lot of minutes and he's going to need help on defense and the boards. Just not sure who else is going to step up there. Early foul trouble for Pendy will spell certain doom for ASU.

Harden is way overrated.. He's soft,..

In what way is he 'soft'? He takes it to the bucket all the time, he probably takes more physical abuse than any other guard in the country, plays almost the entire game every game, and is rarely injured. Doesn't seem 'soft' to me.

This is just a UofA fan trying to get a reaction... ignore it..
...

Actually, no its not.. I actually belive Harden is soft.. He doesnt demonstrate the killer instict to take over a game.. Average palyer on a average team in a conference that is having an averge year.. If the PAC was having a big year, Harden would be a sidebar..

He's an average player? Really? He's a lottery lock in the NBA unless he gets hurt, how in the world does that make him 'average'. Maybe you'd have an argument if he was a big guy, as NBA GMs often over value size and make bad picks, but its generally much easier to scout and project guards.

If Harden was wearing UofA colors he'd be great, but since he wears Maroon and Gold...Gee likes to rip on him. :doi: :D

No offense Gee, but any team that features Chase Budinger should never criticize another teams player as "soft"

very true

and i don't think harden is soft, i don't know what to think honestly. he's obviously far and away the best player on this team. and if he doesn't step up his game in a big way against 'cuse it's all over. but to see him relatively ineffectual in the last game and making some bad decisions down the stretch in the pac 10 championship game (and let's face it, his one-on-one drives at the end of that game were forces) makes me question how he performs at crunch time. you can throw out stats all you want about regular season games, but these are tournaments now. entirely different matter psychologically for these young men.

as for his draft status . . . i am almost certain he will have a khalid reeves type career.

Harden reminds me of a smaller, less quick Joe Johnson. JJ had similar problems when he got into the NBA, which is why the Celts gave up on him. It will take Harden about the same time to adjust, but I believe he may end up as a point guard in the NBA.

Ya, in a crappy draft class.. There is no cant miss player in this draft.. No one is tanking games tfor the opprotunity to draft Harden or anyone..

Harden is soft? All he does is weave his way to the rim, create contact, and finish.

Im not sure what part of Harden's game is soft, I just flat out do not agree with that statement.
