Bad call, but ASU going ice cold for the last eight minutes is what cost them the game.

They still should be in regardless unless a bunch of crazy things happen over the next few days. The only way I could've seen them getting bounced is if USC blew them out which obbviously didn't happen.

Maybe, but their chances went from most likely to doubtful

Their from all reports is a very good chance they DON'T make it, they needed this game, now its up to selection sunday. They are gonna get screwed! Arizona will make it and the Devils won't.

So, I will probably get blasted for this, does close game plus bad call count as win to the selection committee?

If you're an ASU fan now I think you cheer for USC to go all the way. If they win the tourney a close controversial loss doesn't look too bad?

I have ASU ahead of both UA and Oregon myself but in RPI that's not the case. I just figure if you play in the same conference, have a better record, and have beaten the other team head to head, you should be ahead of them barring some really bizarre circumstances.

Well, if Kent State, Memphis, UNLV, or BYU don't win their conference Tourneys it's time to start sweating. West Virginia winning today certainly doesn't help matters though. Villanova, Dayton, and UAB all losing does help on the other hand.

Tim Floyd just said he thought ASU should be in anyway. I hate him, but he made a lot of sense listing why ASU should be in.

Very good news breaking right now...

Baylor is currently down by 4 to colorado in the first round of the Big-12 tourney...

25 seconds to go...

If they lose... Baylor will be right there on the bubble again

Colorado Wins!!

89-81...

Anytime you loss to a sub-150 team in the RPI in the first round of your Conference Tournament....

This is the 1st time the last place team has EVER WON... This is a big blow for Baylor.. and we will see how it goes..

Ok saw the replay on ESPN news.

That was more a goaltend than it was a foul and I don't think it was a goaltend to be honest.

I'm sure Tim Floyd will protest to the Pac 10 again like he did the last time he played ASU and wasn't happy with the officials? AFterall he very clearly got helped there at the end and it's not about winning or losing it's about getting it right? That's his exact words when he filed the complaint before.

Sorry ASU fans that was a bad call hope you still get in.

ASU didn't play well down the stretch at all, so it isn't completely all on that moronic call at the end.

I'm dying inside right now but I agree with this.

And no, ASU will not get invited because we don't deserve it yet. Almost. Next year.

Meanwhile, never noticed before how BOTH of our starting guards can't or won't go right. USC over-played them that way all night. Give us a more accomplished point guard and we will instantly be better.

Tough loss.

I'm still pissed about that call, but you are right Mulli. A couple of missed free throws, Glasser had a bad turnover on a break, Harden air-balled a shot and we missed a bunch of good looks at threes.

I still think we get in IF Oregon loses tonight. If not, it's real dicey.

Good call on the Oregon game...

As long as we are looking for other reasons we lost the game... I have 1 stat that we managed to overcome

Glasser and Abbott combined for 2-16....

Still we almost managed to pull it off.....

Lets go WAZZU, because I still think the PAC-10 gets 6 in... and it will come down to Oregon or ASU

If Oregon wins, we are NIT bound, if they lose, I think we are tournament bound....

I am a BIG COUGAR fan today :D

Oregon is getting BLOWN OUT against WAZZU...

Down by as many as 20 in the first half, the Ducks scored and stole the ball and hit a three at the halftime buzzer to pull within 15.....

42-27....

If Oregon continues to get blown out....

ASU is in IMO.....

Also Florida lost so thats another Bubble team eliminated....

UNLV is in a Dog fight right now... If they lose the first round game to TCU, I think they are out as well...

Texas A&M is tied with Iowa St right now late in the first half...

And I don't care what anyone ese thinks about the Big 12 getting Baylor and Texas A&M in.. if both lose the first round of the Conference tourney to Iowa St and Colorado... I just don't see them both still getting in... IMO

A lot working in the favor of ASU right now

ok... So UMASS folded like a lawn chair in the 2nd half blowing a 17 point first half lead, losing 69-65...

UTEP beat Houston, elminating them...

BC ended any hope of Maryland sneaking in...

Georgia is currently beating Ole Miss... a loss, and the Rebels small tournament hopes are over...

soo good stuff happending for the Devils...

Tonights games, the Cardinal, The Utes, and the Bulldogs need to win...

Yeah, the games the rest of the day pretty much all broke ASU's way. I'm feeling pretty good about our chances on Sunday.

Lunardi had ASU out after the loss, he's now got them back in after everyone else lost.

Davon Jefferson admitted after the game it wasn't a foul he said he never touched me if they called that on me I'd be very upset. Floyd said USC was lucky to get out of there with a win. Gottlieb said if there's no blockout, it's not over the back. Pretty much everyone agrees no foul.

Hope you guys get in I think karma is on your side now.

Well, it's probably even for us now after the screw job the Trogans got in their game in Tempe. I felt ASU would've won that game in a fairly called game because they were executing well on defense, but the refs should've done a better job swallowing their whistles.
