Someone is going to kill that kid - he should fear for his life in Chicago.

I'm glad this is happening to the Cubs right now. If I have to see one more bandwagoning Cubs fan here in Phoenix I'm going to kill myself. "My aunt's husband's cousin lives near Wrigley" is not an excuse to jump on the Cubs bandwagon. What a bunch of losers. I will always root for the underdog. Go Marlins!

I may fly home and hunt him down. That is not to say the 8th inning meltdown wouldn't have occurred but if Alou makes that play, the crowd and Prior are still jacked.

Makes me sick.

OK, what the hell. It was 0-2 in the 7th and Prior seemed to be cruising. I left for a half an hour and FLA wins 8-3? What happened?

That was great...absolutely great. I hate the Cubs....and most of their fans, so watching that happen was just awesome. Let's go Marlins!!

I can't believe that guy sat there and watched the rest of the game. I would have thrown everything I could reach at him.

Dude you must be kidding!

I am a huge Cubs fan and have been since I was a little kid and lo and behold guess where Im from? ARIZONA!

Lest you forget that the Cubs have been holding Spring Training in Mesa many many years before the D backs even existed and during that time they developed a rather large fan base in the valley!

Get over yourself!

Saw the highlights. The error was worse than that fan IMO. Game 7 is going to be great. Too bad I have class. I do get to watch the Sox loose to the Evil Empire though. Been a Boston fan my whole life.

I wasn't referring to lifelong Cubs fans but Cub bandwagoners. Simmer down.

I know that but the Cubs have a very long history in the valley. So how do you determine who is and isnt "bandwagon"?

Personally...I hope the Yankees put an end to this nonsense and first beat the Red Sox and then - if they make it that far - the Cubs.

Good call on the error.

And, that wasn't "fan interference". The unmpire was right on top of the call and the fan didn't come close to leaning in to the field of play. Alou was more in the satnds.

Bad judgment on the guys part.....now that's another story.

Hey I understand you're probably pissed off about the loss but you don't have to get so defensive. You know as well as I do that everyone and their mother is rooting for the Cubs. I do not have a distaste for Cubs fans, just those that have only shown up in the past two weeks.

Im not defensive. Pissed about the loss? Most certainly!

Just I am now curious how you determine what a bandwagon cubs fan is in the valley? If I still lived there and you saw me in a Cubs hat you would proabbly consider a bandwagoner the way you are talking? So Im curious as to your criteria. Especially since like I said they have a huge following in the valley?

That play will get all the attention but the error was worse. I think the fact that Prior gave Pudge a pitch to hit when he had him 0-2 was just as bad as either of those other two plays.

Makes you wonder about this "curse" business though.

It's like the Cardinals just have to snap the ball three times to go to the Super Bowl. But, there's a fumbled snap due to a sprinkler head. Then, pass interference in the end zone. Followed by a QB sneak for a TD as time expires.

The difference is, of course, the Cubs still have one more chance.

ajcardfan...you brought up another unpleasant historical play...the dreaded "bad snap due to sprinkler head - which caused turnover" wasn't Mac the one who investigated this one and said it was the sprinkler heads fault?

the error was bad - but the foul ball just opened up the floodgates - I am pissed - Cubbies have been my second afvorite baseball team for years - it was either the Cubs or the Braves when I was gorwing up because we had no team - I even had a micth williams T-shirt from the night they clinched the division back in 1989 - mark it down - they will lose tomorrow and that kid will never recover.

But he won the game for the Yankees by screwing the other team (the Orioles?). HUGE difference. I feel bad for the guy.

Yes, it was the Seattle game last season. Personally, I felt it was a ploy to not blame Plummer, or the center, for yet another fumbled snap. I think it was the second fumble by Plummer in that game.

If you were the guy who interfered with the ball in the stands and had tickets to tomorrows game as well would you go? Especially if they were in the same seats?

I would have to think twice about it!
