That has to be up there as one of the biggest choke-jobs I have ever witnessed. Between this year and last year it seems Dusty might not know how to win the big game. All I know is the Cards better not keep me waiting a lifetime only to break my heart.

Great game by the Marlins, but I have to admit that I feel sorry for Cubs fans.

this was one of the best comebacks in a 7 game series I can think of..down 3 - 1 - and the last 2 games are on the road against Pryor and Wood... Tough way to go about winning...

Yeah. I was able to relate to the Cubs fans.

I really feel sorry for them.

The better team didn't win but the right team won. Marlins deserve it. They have done nothing but make plays all postseason and they earned it. Cubs had their chance and fell short. It happens.

Doesn't make it sting any less though.

actually...cubs fans have it better than cardinals fans... Way fewer teams make the playoffs in baseball each year than in football-and over the past 20 years the cubs have made the playoffs a few times...so that is better in my opinion..

Plus..they have one of the best places to attend games (I have been there a few times myself) and usually have good crowds - while we have the worst stadium in the NFL - and it is usually empty (except when we play teams like the Packers that bring their own fans)..

no...cubs fans actually have it much better!

And you sound like a whiny little baby girl.

Just kidding BTW. :D

I was pulling for the Marlins, the underdog. Being a Cards fan, I've learned to mainly pull for the underdog in most instances.

The Cubs are a media darling, and frankly many non-Cubs fans find it sickening. Year-in-Year-out people that aren't even Cubs fans pull for them because this stupid little curse.

Hello! There isn't such thing as a curse, only good play/bad play, good management/bad management, etc. etc.

Seriously sorry about the loss Cubs fans. You gotta give props to the Marlins though. They never seem to give up which is more than I can say about a certain pro football team that we love. It just shows you what a team can do if everyone plays out every game at 100%.

that was one of the saddest things I have ever seen in my life. All I can really say or think right now is this - THANK GOD THE D-BACKS WON THAT WORLD SERIES! I couldn't imagine dealing with the pain that would still be in my body if I had to witness what we feared in the eighth was going to be the most heartbreaking loss ever. Still - the best sports feeling I've ever had being at the BOB with Ouchie and my other Bro and my two best friends getting absolutely ******** and living the life of a sports winner for one night! That night still gives me shivers. THANK YOU COLANGELO!

See - I can be nice when I'm not talking about our beloved Cards.:D

John Holt - Where Be Ye?

The biggest all-time Cub fan on this board is our Arkansas brother, John Holt. You OK, bro? I hope the Razorback loss and now the Cub implosion hasn't sent you over the deep end.

Definitely agree. I have no problem with the real cubs fans. It's all the idiots who jump on the "sexy" team of the moment, I can't stand those people.
