Everything is 'homeland security'. That's what the new laws are for. 7 laws away from Kevin Bacon is still a homeland security issue.
But I digress, this was just one of those standard (which read my sentence above) ways of dealing with piracy...argh or else the NFL would fold. Naw. Not imo.
Why is it that 1000x the crimes are being done (and the feds are getting 100 percent details needed [sorry 10,000 percent] to convict and don't do squat), yet when the NFL comes calling, about watching Cardinals or other sports teams over the internet, it's national security. Priorities? We don't have them anymore.
Two sets of laws, and this sports example, is just another example of ALL LINES being blurred. It only gets worse from here. Sanity and Reality...need not apply. Their outmoded. If you don't think so, like me, you're in the minority, and you must realize THAT. America has gone collectively stark raving nuts.
Fans of sports teams, luckily being from Arizona this doesn't apply to me, but for all you St. Louis, Chicago, and transplants....are kind of screwed. Small time college fans as well. (until of course you find a like website....so all they are doing [and rights being taken away] isn't even effective at stopping the thing that doesn't actually effect that they are claiming.)
The NFL and all of the above are engaging in a farce. A red herring. These don't drop NFL revenues even .0000000001 percent. So why again are they claiming 'national security'? Well I guess if I go anymore the thread will be moved so I'll shut up now.
Shame on the NFL and anybody colluding with them to support this red herring. Focus more on labor discussions and less on piracy. Or else you'll lose more in 1 season due to idiocy than 1000 via piracy. [and last I checked, NFL doesn't sell many reruns...you don't syndicate old nfl games]. Thus compared to others, this has even less legs to stand on. But that's what the laws says huh, we must act stupidly like this. So we engage in stupidity based on our stupid laws.
