Couple of interesting hires, Keith Rowen as TE coach being one, and Bobby Petrino's brother being hired being the other.

I don't know the history of Petrino's brother but let's just say for a first time NFL coach to hire his brother on the staff is pretty bold? If it works nobody will care but if it doesn't the cries of nepotism will be huge.

Marty Schottenheimer (when in Cleveland and Kansas City) has hired his brother Kurt before as a special teams, defensive backs, and defensive coordinator coach at various times. He also employed his son Brian as QB coach two years ago.

Isn't it a step up from being unemployed?

Yep and even though I suspect much of the NFL believes him, when he came out and essentially called his head coach a liar, it probably made it harder on
him getting his next coordinator job?

Russ:

From the AP release:

Petrino's first NFL staff includes his brother Paul, who was the Cardinals' offensive coordinator and will serve as the Falcons' receivers coach... In addition to his brother, Bobby Petrino brought in another former Louisville assistant; (Mike) Summers was offensive line coach with the Cardinals.

I guess that since Atlanta ownership obviously liked the job Petrino did at Louisville, they didn't object to him bringing along a couple of assistants, related or not. And Paul Petrino's "promotion" from Division I OC to NFL receivers coach hardly looks like blatant favoritism.
