Pretty much. I really don't see how it's that funny, if a commentator referred to ASU as USA or whatever I wouldn't get hard over it. I guess we can start a thread every time somebody as ESPN refers to the "sleeping giant" in Tempe as the Wildcats which happens five or six times annually. Or we just continue on with our lives, jobs, intelligence, etc.

What is funny pretty is how it's taken Arizona losing to get half of the ASU clowns on this board out from the rock they've been hiding under since Sullivan's prayer Hail Mary to McGaha.

I think ASCC should now be called "A STATE" since ASCC fans like to use other idiots typos to try and bash the Wildcats. Petros Papadakis on the FSN broadcast for the last few weeks has called you folks "A STATE" It's only fair, right?? I mean it does make more sense than "AU" since you actually are an "A STATE" The only AU I know of the top of my head is Auburn. So WAR EAGLE!!!

Univ of No Rose Bowls has an awesome RPI tho. WIth losses to Oregon, Iowa, Washington, oh wait this isnt basketball and Lute isnt paying off the selection crew. Enjoy not going to the rose bowl again. I understand the Devils suck this year, but I still wont throw water bottles at you guys this saturday. Maybe roses so all you dirt bags can remember them in your wet dreams.

I could care less about AU, switching letters is just not that funny or creative unless you have a obscenely simple sense of humor.

Wow thanks for making my point for me!! That ASU education is working well for you. One typo versus another. I guess it's a wash, right?

As I stated earlier, and ill try to keep this simple so you can actually understand it, the AU retort is the lamest smack you guys use. And no surprise, you use it all of the time. Sure, you can call us "AU" all you want, but that makes you either dyslexic, illiterate, or just plain dumb. So keep shooting yourselves in the foot. Better yet, keep perpetuating the national stereotype you already have as being one of the worst colleges in quality of education in the entire United States.

And I would think that you would know better that it isn't "simply a misprint." I don't believe anyone in the national media is out to get us. It's called a reporter not doing his or her homework, kind of like how prospective college students end up settling for ASU. Last resort.

Funny how you addressed my comment considering you were one of the notable absent ASU posters from this or the UA board for about a month during your program's implosion. You're a front runner who doesn't take his medicine, I'm just going to ignore you from here on out like I do the rest of the non-fans. There's too many other solid ASU posters on ASFN (Hoover, ASUChris, Gadd, and several others) I can actually enjoy rational, intelligent back and forth with after win or loss.

Territorial Cup week really does bring out the morons I guess.

You are aware that ASU is a perennial 6-7 win program since before most of us have been alive correct? I wouldn't be dogging on 6-6 before taking a long look on what your program is and has been since the Nixon Administration.

wait when did I make a predicition? I said your season may very well be 6-6... that is FAR from a predicition... Although I take offense to you accussing me of being universally wrong ... If you have examples, please keep them to yourself I like to think I am right most of the time ...

And I actually enjoy the smack talk you spew around this board... I think you are wrong a lot of times (as you do of me), but I enjoy the banter from many of you diehard UofA posters...

And FWIW.. I think maybe why people find the AU thing humorus (and I don;t really for the record) is it is a sign of disrespect towards UofA....

Nixon resigned in 1974. The following year ASU football went 12-0. Two of the next three years we went 9-3. Daryl Rogers got us to 9-2 and 10-2 in consecutive seasons. Cooper years - 3 straight bowl games (including winning the Rose Bowl) and finished with 8 wins and 10 wins in consecutive seasons. Marmie was good for 6 wins a year. Snyder - 11-1, 9-3. Dirk - 8-6, 9-3. Erickson has a 10-3 year with the Devils under his belt.

Besides Marmie and the fill-in coach between Kush and Rogers, I'd say our football team has done pretty well. The years during and before the Nixon administration were stellar as well.
