Listen - I am not a big fan of Syracuse (and to a much lesser degree turkytyler) for the nature of their posts and how they address me.

I like ASU/UA rivalry week because I like to talk trash. CuseLAXman is a completely different animal. While I have maintained in my many years to not make it about the poster but rather the schools when discussing this subject, Syracuse has taken more then one opportunity to try and take pot shots at me and make stupid little comments. Even on the Cardinal board where theoretically we are on the same team. And even when unprevoked.

I am going to have to ask all you ASU bretheren to back off because I am going to tear that goof down every chance I get. You can call it whatever you want, but I actually enjoy stripping away his self respect and hopefully he cries himself to sleep because of me.

As for the rest of you - I really have no issues other then wanting to beat your school this week. In fact secretly I think ASU Chris is quite smart and others who rep ASU are quite pleasent and fun to engage in conversation with.

But some people just don't get along. And that's Cuse and I simple.

my heart weeps for you, but all lies. You and your UA posse started this crap with your constant attempts to downplay my non-hostile posts that were an attempt at discussion of the issue at hand by bringing up my age and constantly saying I wouldn't be able to understand things to the point where Skkorp sent me a PM saying I should use the report button because it was that ridiculous. Don't throw stones in a glass house AZfinest.

ASU ROOLS!!! U OF A DROOLS!!!

You crack me up AZ, both you and Cuse need to take this stuff less personally. Bottom line, as usual, ASU and U of A are essentially the same, and like in most situations, familiarity breeds contempt. I enjoy the **** talking back and forth, but really don't take it too seriously.

AZ "Finest" or Mao, feel free to stop by my tailgate, roof of the lot south of the stadium, I'll whoop yo ass in beer pong and we'll have a good ol' time.:sparky:

Chris. I am taking you up on this. Beer Pong brings everyone together. And then you can be 0-2 when the day is over ;)

I'm over it. I had a bad day at work and took it out on poor little Cuse.

Love this week. I wear Maroon and Gold all week long at work and get heckled (I live in Tucson).

Here is the real question that UofA fans' still haven't answered. What happens when you lose the next two games and finish 2-2? Will Stoops still be considered a 'good coach'? I say sign that guy to a LOOOOOOONG term deal. He can't coach - he just got extremely lucky by finally choosing to start Nick Foles. A good coach would have gotten behind Foles months ago (all he had to do was see that Foles was once a Devil, that is proof enough).

You make me laugh because you are typical UofA grad with Phoenix Envy who takes immature, arrogant cheap shots at people.

Also, that team looked really well coached, 30 fouls? nice....

You do realize that 3 out of the first 6 games in Maui had 44+ fouls called. If you want to equate fouls called against to poor coaching, then I wish you well during a career in basketball...

So are/were Danny Sullivan and Jack Elway. I wouldn't want them anywhere near the QB spot at Arizona.

Sully couldn't sniff the starting lineup if it weren't for injuries to Szakacsy. Also, Foles transfered once DE brought in Szakacsy... hmmm. Jack Elway is just a quitter. Hate to say it, but its true. You can say you 'don't have the passion' all you want, but when you accept a scholarship offer to play - you better follow through. If you stink, then you ride the bench, but you don't quit.

Anyway, good to see the mud flying already. I am attending the game, which reminds me, I have to locate my passport so I can get back into the good 'ol USA when traveling North... It's going to be nice driving on properly maintained roads again for a couple of days.

You do realize that Herb Sendek lost his third game as ASU coach at home to somebody named Portland State, right?

Arizona is in all likelihood going to make it's 26th* consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance this season, contend to win the Pac-10 next, and be in the running for a Final Four in 2012. ASU can't say that about itself in either of the revenue sports. Trust me, we're not worried about hoops nor did we expect Sean Miller to go undefeated.

*1999 ;)

Losing to WIS and being taken to OT by COL is a bad start regardless of what refs you get handed.

*Appearance vacated by the NCAA after it was discovered that point guard Jason Terry accepted money from agents his junior and senior year.
Wow, I forgot about that. Does that factor into the streak? Also, wasn't that the game when Nahara (sp?) looked like the second coming of Charles Barkley?

Now that we are talking about the past (Arizona Basketball), they should have three rings and I hate to think about it. 1998 was theirs to lose, and Jason Williams got away with near Manslaughter against the Cats in 2001...

BTW, at the risk of exposing myself too much, I have degrees from both schools and love both. However, I have always, and will continue to always hate the Arizona Football program. Chuck Cecil is Satan.

Pretty sure most UA fans on this board readily admit that Stoops is a pretty average coach. Great talent evaluator, good recruiter, poor game manager, decent motivator. We certainly don't photoshop his head onto a Messianic figure like you clowns do with jumped the shark Erickson. But while we're on the subject - recruiting hits like Foles aren't 'luck' but rather a feather in a coach's hat. Same with hiring Sonny Dykes to overhaul his offense. Matt Scott got first shot because he was a better fit with what Dykes was trying to implement but when he failed they moved onto Foles shortly into the season. A bad coach sticks with "his guy" through thick and thin or fails to recruit a capable QB - like DE did with the QB situation at ASU. And ASU just gave him a "LOOOONG" deal and more money than most of the Pac-10. Have fun with that.

Sully couldn't sniff the starting lineup if it weren't for injuries to Szakacsy.
Sully beat out Szacksy in spring practice fyi.

Also, Foles transfered once DE brought in Szakacsy... hmmm.
And started recruiting Chasen Stangel. When you twice get recruited over by a new coaching staff with no loyalty towards you roughly 99% of players move on to other things. Make no mistake - DE ran off Foles.

Jack Elway is just a quitter. Hate to say it, but its true. You can say you 'don't have the passion' all you want, but when you accept a scholarship offer to play - you better follow through. If you stink, then you ride the bench, but you don't quit.
Elway's departure had to do with the fact that he's not a Division I caliber quarterback. The guy had no talent.

Only KU fans know/care. ESPN was talking about our streak the other night without a problem.

Agreed, nobody thopught we'd be world beaters buta better start was expected. I'll wait until conference season kicks off and see how we're playing then. Relying heavily on four freshmen is tough.

So now you're relying on ESPN as your source of expertise now?

KU fan's might be the only ones who know because we tend to be educated about the sport, but I wouldn't really say we care. NCAA Championships, Final Fours, Conference Championships. These are what matter to us.

A tournament streak would just be sprinkles on our Championship Sunday as it's really nothing more than a glorified participation award. I just like to point out the * to poke you about it. ;)

I'm sure you'll do fine, the PAthetiC 10 is going to be worse this year than the SEC was last year.

Yeah, it's a shame Embry-Riddle doesn't have much in the way of athletics though

Agreed - it's a product of the talent this conference has lost over the last few years. Not sure off the top of myhead but I'd be willing to guess the Pac has had more lottery picks in the last three years than any other conference or close to it. There's some talent in this league but it's all young.

Regarding UA, a W over Vandy tonight would be big going forward. Like Wisky they're an NCAA team in March but I'm afraid they might be too experienced for the Cats.

No doubt the Wisconsin loss was dificult to take, because they are an average team, much like us.

Im not really expecting a whole lot this year, but I like the way the team is playing with effort and man to man in the half court. I think we have a god shot to make the tournament, but im not going to go out on a limb and say we make it for sure.

The Pac-10 is just downright terrible this year and that bodes very well for Arizona basketball this year, otherwise I doubt we would make the tournament.

The way I address you? Thats cute, you dont like me becuase I dont like au? You are pathetic, you come on to a message board, decide to talk all this smack that you are clueless about, try and get into fights, blame the refs for au's short comings, think that Miller is the next hoops jesus, think au is a rose bowl/pacx contender, that ua will win the pac in hoops. You are a fool man. Not to say I wouldnt buy you a beer at the bar and laugh at your childhood crush on Miller, but come on. You are better than me because you post more on a message board, or maybe its because you have better spelling/grammer, or maybe you have a vacation house on the jersey shore. Either way you make me laugh, like when the special kid stands up with no helmet on a bobsled going into a tunnel.
