Arizona Cardinals quarterback and former Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart is kicking off the Super Bowl week in style with a "Welcome to Arizona Party" on January 30th for his celebrity and VIP friends. Now you can bid on a chance to join the invitation-only event! The party will take place from 7-11pm on Wednesday, January 30th.

Matt is offering 50 tickets exclusively on eBay. No boring speeches or dreary-eyed sit down dinners -- this is a rocking event with tasty appetizers and an open bar! (Winning bidder must be 21 or older.)
Celebrity guests expected to attend include: Matt Leinart (the host), Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo, Alyssa Milano, Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Terrell Owens, Donovan McNabb, Joseph Addai, Andy Roddick, LaDainian Tomlinson, Kristin Cavallari, Brian Urlacher, Michael Irvin, Shawne Merriman, Shaun Alexander, Brody Jenner, and Maurice Jones-Drew. There won't be a roped off VIP room—you'll have plenty of time to mingle with the celebs. Please note that despite this fantastic VIP guest list, there are no guarantees everyone listed will be there. There may even be a few big name surprises, too!

Damn Alyssa Milano!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of them are still 99 cents. If I lived in AZ thats a no brainer I drop a few hundred for her alone.

Im considering flying it if I win one with a few bucks bid.

Matt Leinart welcomes visitors at party

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart hosted The Hills star Brody Jenner, pop star Nick Lachey and baseball player Reggie Sanders among hundreds of others at his Welcome to Arizona party Wednesday night at Olive & Ivy at the Scottsdale Waterfront.

Leinart, wearing a dark suit but no tie, mingled during the live and silent auctions where current and past pro footballers and Valley socialites bid on a $25,000 Haimov watch, tickets to the Super Bowl and a trip to Idaho's Fairmont Tamarack, among other items to benefit the Matt Leinart Foundation's work with children.

"This is such a great cause," said Johnjay, of 104.7 KISS FM's Johnjay and Rich Show. "What the Matt Leinart Foundation does for children is unbelievable. He's got the biggest heart when it comes to kids."

Johnjay spent part of the night upping his initial $2,000 bid for a guitar autographed by U2 (a present to Rich). Others gossiped about which parties would be the hottest (50 Cent and Paris Hilton Thursday at the 944 Super Village), where Justin Timberlake might be Friday night (6 lounge in Scottsdale, with Joey

Fatone) and when Lachey would actually arrive (in 10 more minutes).

At about 8:30 p.m. Lachey , in a suit jacket and jeans, worked the red carpet, stopping only to talk to national media, and went inside, where he was promptly mobbed by photo-seekers and autograph hounds.

Jenner showed up at about 9:15, with friend Frankie Delgado, wearing a white undershirt and jeans.

The total amount raised for charity was not immediately available.

Matt was obviously there and looking super fine. I asked him if he felt good. He said he felt better. Sounded like he still has some healing to do.

Kurt showed up. He looked like your average dad that you'd see walking through the mall. He was super cool ... and hot.

Others in attendence: Adrian Wilson, Coach Whiz, Scott Player, Neil Rackers (and, my, is he hot), Stephen Jackson, Nick Lachey (also hot) and a bunch of other people I don't remember. It was a great party and a ton of fun. Sorry I don't have more football info to report. Was too busy flirting with the famous people. :)

You can go watch a few of the Cardinals players and other NFL guys play flag football in Surprise Saturday for only $25.

Don't like any athlete's personal Foundation. Self-serving load of nonsense. If Matt wants to help children, he's got plenty of his own money with which to do so.

Sorry, Jersey, no knock on you.

Some agent, I think it was Leigh Steinberg, started this whole "Foundation" kick years back. I hate it.

Don't like Kurt Warner's Foundation, Matt's, Kwamie's, Daryl Green's, none of them. Not even Pat Tillman's. My guess is Pat would never have wanted a Foundation of his for anything. His was done by his family.

So I guess I'm a heartless turd. So be it.

No knock taken. :)

I paid just under $60 for my ticket, which is certainly AT LEAST what I drank in red wine and tequila. Probably should've eaten some more of the food though, lol.

I had an awesome time. Sorry I didn't get to this sooner, but I've been hungover all day. It was a pretty awesome night. For as hot as Jersey Girl seems to have thought all of the guys were, the women were a sight to behold. I was in heaven. More on that later.

I showed up with a buddy, honestly a bit skeptical about what the availability of the VIPs was going to be. I shouldn't have been. I noticed mainly football players as the guests, but the aforementioned Nick Lachey did show up, and I saw Michael Smith of Around the Horn. Faye Fredricks, the good looking local anchorwoman hovered around for a few minutes, and I think I saw Dave Pasch as well, but I'm a bit rusty on my local sportscasters.

First off, I really wanted to note how classy and nice almost every player and coach was. While I wouldn't say it was necessarily unclassy of him, Donovan McNabb refused to take a quick snapshot with my friend, something I couldn't say for every other player in attendance. With that, I'm sure you guys want the list of guys I saw.

In attendance were: Matt Leinart, Ken Whisenhunt, Russ Grimm, Neil Rackers, Scott Player, Steven Jackson, Shawn Merriman, Maurice Jones-Drew, Marshawn Lynch (I think), Roy Williams of the Cowboys, and a host of other players who were most likely NFL guys, but I couldn't recognize as well as I do when I'm not 5 gin and tonics in the hole.

Matt was sure to take photos with anyone who asked, even though he was pretty swarmed by the end of the night. It seems like everyone was too shy to ask for pictures at first, but by the time we'd all gotten a bit liquored up, it was fair game. I commented that I'd been a Cardinals fan since '88, and as a non-Arizona native who's 21 years old, it was rare. He laughed, and told me he'd try to make it worthwhile.

My dad's a huge Skins fan, and my dad flew with Whisenhunt's brother, so Whiz talked to me about that for a while. Grimm took a quick picture with me for my dad, but later seemed to have some trouble holding back a smile when I lectured my friend for not knowing that Grimm was an ex-Hog and soon to be Hall of Famer as we walked off.

Steven Jackson is from Las Vegas, so he got really excited to see some Las Vegas natives when we let him know. He stood there and talked to us for a bit, asked our names, and came across as a really cool guy. He also seemed to be pretty in-demand. I saw a gorgeous girl trying to demand his attention all night.

Player and Rackers seemed pretty enthusiastic that we recognized them, and wanted a photo-op. Player still had the bleached handlebar mustache, but I thanked him for his years as a Card and left them to their own devices.

Kurt was pretty nondescript, but took a picture with us and thanked us for our support.

The only non-Cardinal I took a picture with was Steven Jackson, but my buddy took some pictures with a few other guys. As soon as I get the camera developed (I'm not a big fan of digital), I'll post some.

As for the auction part of the party, a lot of people were pretty rude to Matt when he was up on stage. Everyone was so loud in their own conversations that I could barely hear him speaking over a microphone from ten feet away. He seemed pretty frustrated. I was also mad that there was only cheap gin. I drink my gin & tonic with Bombay! :D

As for the rest of the party, I'm still young (21), and didn't look like the part of the income bracket that dominated the auction crowd, so I got about three "You look familiar, what show were you on?" comments. That's always nice.

To cap off the night, I scored digits from a girl who was probably an entire two inches taller than me, thanks to her heels, that seemed to be way out of my league. Apparently I did something right. She goes to U of A though, so I might have a hard time squaring that with all of my Sun Devil buddies, haha.

Hopefully this was thorough enough. If you guys have any more questions, feel free to ask them!

I, too, thought a lot of people were rude when Matt was running the auction. Not cool.

I missed McNabb. Am kinda bummed about that.

It really was a neat scene.

Tonight T.O. is having his party right across the street from my place. There are a ton of Escalades, limos and other fabulous cars all throughout Scottsdale. Insanity.
