This kid wants to play. You can deffinetly tell this is something he has always wanted and I want to see if that motivation makes him take his game to a significant level as our return guy and/or running back.

It really sounds like this kid has a passion for football and he has fought hard against size limitations to be able to play football. I like his attitude.

He'll find a way to get on this team, but its gonna be tough carrying 2 rookie RBs on the active roster

K I'm sold after hearing this kid. The kid has a huge heart and I hope he does well. I hope he gets a shot at being on the roster or atleast be on the PS. Gotta love having players who love the game that much.

He is my new favorite Cardinal. How can you not love this guy? The best part was in between tears when he said "I'm ready to go train right now!" This is the best drfat pick conference call I have ever heard.

Meh! Lots of kids get emotional and cry on draft day. I'll reserve judgement till we see him on between the chalk

As soon as I saw that you had posted in this thread I knew you would be disgusted with the support for this kid!!! You're a tough SOB to please man. When are you coming out to the East Coast for a game?

Not disgusted at all. I like him. Just don't see crying as a reason to be a fan. There was probably 125 other kids that were crying and beyond emotional today at some point. As they should. Quite the ridiculous reason to say he is now your favorite card IMHO.

When you have other stars on the team crying that they dont feel respected and loved by the team, :coughyourboyQandDansbycough:, it's easy to like a guy like Howling who appreciates the opportunity :)

Everyone loves an underdog Shane.

Me included. I like him and will root for him. But favorite cardinal player? Over fits, quan, Wilson, dansby, berry, warner, dockett, come on? A tad overboard IMO.

I dont ever pick the stars of the team as my favorites. They have enough people rooting especially for them IMO.

Nice interview. I'm thrilled that there are a few hundred emotional kids this weekend. Feel bad for the ones who dreamed of being drafted, only to find themselves toeing over a chasm of a deep nightmare. Camp is their last hope.

I like this pick. If you youtube his name, there are some good clips of him. He looks fast and nimble. Nothing wrong with playing 2nd behind LeRon McCoy.

LSH looks like he hits the hole hard, has top-notch cut back ability, good vision and can catch the ball out of the backfield.

I looked up his bio...wow. Look up his stats for I think his sophmore season. It's crazy. His freshman year was pretty stellar also. Everything needed for 3rd downs.

He looks like he is in the mold of and has a similar playing style to another smallish, scatback type of back, Felix Jones.
