Tonight was the debut of the Matt Leinart Show from Zipps Sports Grill on the northeast corner of McClintock and Ray. It was a monster crowd and Matt introduced his weekly mystery guest Edgerrin James.

To listen to the replay click here!

In the future, you can catch the Matt Leinart Show every Friday night at Zipps from 5-6pm and on ESPN Radio 860am.

I think having a "Matt Leinart" Show is pretty silly. I listened to part of it. The "introduction" was his throws in a preaseason game!

Warner has won two superbowls, been the Leage MVP and was NFC player of the week but Matt is the one getting all of the attention. A guy who hasn't even played a down of real profootball. Sad really :(

Matt Leinart and Edge are two guys who the Valley is most excited about.

Listen, I am not a Warner hater, and I hope Matt doesn't play a down this year at all. However, you simply can't deny the media appeal Leinart brings to the table. Matt will be here in 2010, Kurt won't. No problem in setting up Matt's digs now...this is soon to be his team.

I still like it when a guy proves it before he's given so many accolades. Leinart can only hope to do what Warner has done in his career, and there is a good a chance he never will. He's the team now, worry about Leinart when it's time to play.

I guess it's human nature but it's strange how every year alot of people are more excited about the first round draft pick they use on an unproven player than the best player on their team. (which right now might be Anquan Boldin or Larry Fitzgerald)

Sad??? 9-11 was sad. Our 1st round pick getting a show on the radio is awesome. Some people just love to bitch about things. Thats awesome he has a show. More exposure for the big red.

Agreed, in Pittsburgh they had the Jerome Bettis show. This year they have the Hines Ward Show.

Ben, with two SUCCESSFUL seasons under his belt, including a SB, STILL doesn't have a show!

And his infinitely more popular then Leinart.

Rediculous. It will only lead to contreversy, mark my words.

And why shouldn't I be? It's a freaking Cardinals message board! If you want to talk about something important go to the politics board.

I just find it kind of stupid that a guy who hasn't done anything in the league has his own show instead of guys who have actually done things in this league and should be appreciated right now.

I'm not saying the people who started the show are stupid, it's what sells, just the fans that would rather have a show with a football player who has never played a down yet than other guys on our team.

What is he going to talk about all year? Stuff he sees on the field while he's holding a clipboard?

I would much rather have Edge, Warner, Boldin or Fitzgerald have a show. It just sounded rediculous to me how they were celebrating his preseason games as the intro, his preaseason games! lol.

The radio station had to have a player that was sellable to advertisers. Who is more sellable than Leinart? No one.

I listened to part of the show when Edge and Leinart were both on. The host was asking Leinart about all the TV and radio commercials he had been doing and the host asked Edge if he had seen the 80 foot Leinart banner at the stadium. Edge responded "Yeah, he's everywhere except on the football field."

Classic reponse.

Yeah I agree, just that he is the most sellable player on our teams is a little silly to me.

Maybe in Pittsburgh.

Leinart is the most celebrated QB to come out in decades. 2 losses, three national championship games and a heisman in your college career in a pro-style offense will tend to do that to a guy. On a national level, Leinart is much more interesting than Ben....
