OK...here's what I found. From the Arizona Republic, 11/08/2005:

Up more stairs, Bidwill talks about Eisenman's use of the Native-American mandala symbol, a circle that represents wholeness, the universe or infinity, which appears in Navajo sand paintings, native rock paintings, and depicted in ancient ballfields.

An off-center mandala is embedded in the fabric of the retractable roof, with rays extending out to the spines of the building.

And for good measure, here's a quote from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram - 02/23/2006:

The architects of the Cardinals' new stadium integrated Native American elements into the design, including a mandala -- an off-center halo -- in the roof, made of the same translucent material as the roof panels themselves. Even with the roof closed, there's a light and airy feel to the place.

I wonder where both reporters got this info from? Eisenman? Weird.

I'm actually glad I didn't go to this, this year. It's easy to look fantastic in scrimmage....and get everybody's hopes up.

I'm looking forward to seeing some things Saturday.........but I'm very reserved about this team.

* The gray seats are where the sun shines in at. Thats what someone told me so I'll go with it. Doesn't make much sense to me but whatever

I also read that the color was used so that when the sun sits on those seats over time, the fading color will not be noticeable as if they were all red...and the Cards Logo is on every seat
