After two practice rounds, a washout on Monday, and much pomp and circumstance, it's finally time for the Masters Tournament which runs Thursday-Sunday.
Will you need to buy an umbrella or sunglasses from the Augusta National gift shop? Below is what to expect, based on data from the National Weather Service, the Weather Channel, and AccuWeather:
The opening of the Masters is looking like a calm one with mostly clear skies all day with more clouds gradually appearing starting about noon. The morning will start with temperatures of 51 degrees and 88% humidity. By 4 p.m. it will be about 75 degrees and 39% humidity. Winds will be 6-8 mph with gusts 13-17 mph.
Things could start taking a turn in the evening as showers and possibly even a thunderstorm are possible, but this should be well after golf.
The second day of the Masters is the only one with bad weather with Thursday's late showers continuing into the early morning, but it will likely stop raining by 8 a.m. and there's only a 17% chance of it being a thunderstorm. The skies will remain somewhat cloudy through the rest of the morning with some letup around lunch time.
Temperatures will be about 56 degrees with 88% humidity at 8 a.m. and 71 degrees with 39% humidity by 4 p.m. Winds will around 9-12 mph with 22-28 mph gusts.
Moving Day at the Masters will likely be a pretty one with partly sunny skies (46% coverage at best) and little to no chance of precipitation. The morning will start at about 48 degrees with 81% humidity, and by the afternoon it will be about 66 degrees with a 39% humidity. Winds will be 6-8 mph with 15 mph gusts.
Sunday at the Masters is looking like the sunniest yet with less than 10% cloud coverage throughout the day and no chance of precipitation. In the morning it will feel like 45 degrees with 77% humidity, and by the end of the tournament, it will be around 70 degrees with 33% humidity. Winds will be 5-6 mph with 14 mph gusts.
