I'd actually like Eddie to get a look as the GM. I'm not sure if he could be a good coach or not but he seems to have a good eye for talent. I don't know if he could be a good GM or not but I think he could be better used than color commentator....

I'm not sure if that's because he's happy where he is and has said as much or what but he knows basketball better than a lot of analysts who work in TV front what I've heard over the years. Stories that tells about our young players are often quite insightful.

i like Eddie where he is. We know he's a colorful color analyst.
whether he could be a good GM or coach is completely unknown.
if he fails at either there's probably no going back, as was the case with Majerle, who was not as knowledgeable as Eddie, but was colorful in the broadcast booth.

i watch the Suns to be entertained and Eddie adds value.
Ann Myers is bland in comparison with a kind of NPR tone more fitting for golf than basketball.

Ayton's weaknesses so far are obvious, but I really like that he has embraced being a student of the game. His top priority appears to be learning what it will take to be a great player, rather than get carried away flapping his wattle. He's about a month into his professional career now and has yet to pick up a technical or foul out. He's erring on the side of being too passive, but that's not necessarily worse than the alternative.

I agree. I am very happy with Ayton.

Suns ball, 2 minutes left in the Minny game, Ayton is waved off the block and instead of finding and fighting for a rebounding position, he stands BEHIND the defensive player

positioning is his biggest problem -- on offense and defense
and that's why i'm encouraged

experience and a good coach should be able to significantly improve that

and maybe, after he gets a taste for winning and a hate for losing
he'll toughen up too

Sigh. Replace one GM whose problem is inexperience with another. If we cannot come up with an idea better than EJ, just stand pat.
I think these suggestions for The Chuckster or Eddie are tongue-in-cheek. I'd even throw Annie into that conversation. She played a large role in the Mercury being at the top of their League three times.

It shows how desperate fans are for a GM who will have the cojones to stand up to the clown at the top. Rather than the string of inexperienced "yes" men that Sarver chooses.
