He also said said talks weren’t really serious.
Not true, just yesterday he was talking about it being likely Ayton would be traded in Dame deal, just wasn't sure what team would get Dame.

I will admit his stats are better than I thought, but I still don't understand how we are getting playing time for all these guards.
You might see us play a lot of super small ball where it’s Gordon/Beal/Book/Durant/Nurkic’s Corpse or Allen thrown in there when Beal is injured or Book’s hammy flares.

I know Grayson Allen is not well liked on the forum, but the Suns could use the touch of an enforcer on the roster.
He's more psycho than enforcer. I haven't paid much attention to him in the Pros but he was easily the cheapest, dirtiest player I've ever seen in college.

How is this bad for Portland? For all summer we've been hearing about Tyler Herro and picks or other junk for Lillard who was forcing his way out of town. They end up with Jrue, a legit all star, and Ayton, who could turn into something.

I don't know how this can be viewed as anything other than a big W for the Blazers, and a huge L for the Suns. Jury is still out for Milwaukee, but clearly they felt they needed to placate Giannis.

He's too old for their timeline and takes minutes away from Scoot and Simons. They'll have to move him to another team and hope to get pieces that work. At this point they get an I for incomplete.

I'm not going to defend Grayon Allen's play in college and he has had some moments in the NBA.

I saw a brutal looking play against Alex Caruso. However, I've never questioned his ability as a player.

He appears to have mellowed some, but we will get a first-hand look.

Serious question, does Ayton average more points than games Portland wins this year? I could see him put up 24 a night and Portland win 18 games. They'll need Scoot to be Allen Iverson 2.0 to see more than 20 wins if they move Holiday.

I think Portland tries to flip Holiday to Miami in place of Dame. Makes sense for both sides. His salary is lower as well which makes it a little easier for the Heat to match. Duncan Robinson, picks, and maybe Kyle Lowry to be waived should work financially.

He’s not a cancer but Zach Lowe said it best a while back. There’s a “collective eye rolling” with him throughout the organization. That gets old year after year and they finally pulled the trigger.
Yeah I never thought he was a cancer per se. But how much do professionals have to babysit a grown man child? It gets exhausting.

Fair enough - I believe the return for Jrue will be good, but I've been surprised before.

So you don't want to always leave either Booker or Beal on the court? Because I always thought that was the idea - that is the smart thing to do anyway.
Not if it’s unnecessary. I’ll leave the tinkering to Vogel. This also gives us injury insurance. We are DEEP.

Oh come on

Booker 34 minutes
Beal 34 minutes
Gordon 20 minutes
Goodwin/Allen 8 minutes.

Booker and Beal's career minute average is 34 per game, Gordon played 25 per game with the Clippers last year

So how exactly is keeping one on the floor at all times going to burn them out?
It doesn’t make for as much overlap of the two which maximizes the damage they can inflict.
