Idk what this means as CP3 cries incessantly. He’s been doing it since his Clipper days. He’s not as dirty as Allen but he’s just smarter about it.

Cries literally... CP3 pisses and moans at the officials, Allen has to have teammates console him as he fights tears.

This "Allen gives us a toughness" talk is complete nonsense. He isn't a tough player, he isn't physical outside of his random cheap shots and they're never calculated, he doesn't do it to get an edge, he does it because he is an infant.

Looks like you're off to a good start with him as a Sun. ;)

He's worse than Pat Bev. Bev is a revolting player who shouldn't be in the league. He takes cheap shots and tries to injure people... but at least he is calculated in his filth AND he doesn't back down from the aftermath after causing a mess on the court.

Allen goes after guys because he can't control his emotions, he throws tantrums and then melts down when he gets in trouble.
I am OK with some dirty on this team. I find it hard to believe he is worse than Bev. Bev has racked up way more technical fouls and once you get that reputation the refs pay way more attention to you. Tantrums and meltdowns is entirely different than some of the crap I see Bev pull.

He is and he isn't. Bev is much more active when it comes to dirty play. Allen, in the past, has been just as a few of us portray him. When he feels slighted in any way, he either cheap shots the other guy (usually by tripping him) or he plots his revenge and delivers it in a few minutes or a few weeks or a few months and who knows, maybe in a few years. He isn't your typical physical player nor is he your typical dirty player.

I really haven't followed him in the NBA, I'm still stunned that Coach K didn't bounce him years ago and that the league let him in. I hope he's learned to reign in his anger and has moved beyond his past but his history makes that doubtful.

Besides having court skills we can use, from a distance it appears to me that he is more liked by his teammates than PB and Chris Paul.

I am not concerned after listening to James Jones at all about Allen. He is not Bev. James said he is looking for the Edge that Allen brings without being reckless or trying to hurt people. He said Allen basically will play within that role. I don't think James would put up with anybody that takes it as far as Bev.

Bull. It's the same loser talk from DA as usual. Completely delusional about what he brings to the table.

"derr, I bring dominance, I'm dominayton" - DreaminAyton

Mat Ishbia says it was a “unanimous” decision to trade Deandre Ayton.Sounds like players, staff, and management were all on board with that move.

It was time to go - if the players/staff management wanted him gone, so be it.

I think Ayton could’ve been more tactful in his answer. “[Suns] Coaches and I saw my role differently, but I embrace the opportunity here in Portland to expand my game and take it to the next level.”

He needs to take a course on corporate speak.

TJ is right, technically DA is right. He's with a team that wants him. Unfortunately, that wording implies that the Suns didn't appreciate him, but whatever. It doesn't matter anymore. The Suns aren't suddenly going to not be a destination team anymore because DA is bitter.

#1 He is wrong because that wasn't always the case. Maybe not TODAY but the Suns DID want him. They invested in him. They tried to go to him more. Ayton just couldn't get it together on a consistent basis.

#2 Ayton is going to talk. He always talks. He has to back it up.
Except he didn't say the Suns didn't want him. It was something that can get implied, but he didn't lie.

He needs to shut up and let his play do the talking.

In spite of his age/talent/potential EVERYONE on the inside wanted him gone from players/management/staff. I definitely hated the deal on first blush, but hearing that everyone wanted him gone is enough for me.

I learned a lot with my time in Phoenix, played with some of the best in the game today. I hope to bring some of that here to Portland, but it is a new beginning and fresh starts can be a great thing. I feel very welcome and I look forward getting on the court this season.
