Offensive Coordinator Harold Goodwin on Bobby Massie:
“Bobby is a guy who has to make a decision on how good he wants to be,” Goodwin said. “There are plenty of guys walking around these halls with talent. He’s got to make the decision to be great. Bobby is another guy who’s had some mental error issues in the past. I’m not going to put Carson (Palmer) in danger. He’s already got enough to deal with. You’ve got to know what you’re doing. If you know what you’re doing, that’s really three-quarters of the battle.
“It’s his third year. This is a make-or-break year definitely for him.”
I am officially off the Bobby Massie bandwagon.
If the guy doesn't want to put in the time, then I thank him for the hard work he put in for the 2012 season, but as it correctly stated above. "There are plenty of guys walking around these halls with talent."
And I am always wary of players who "turn the corner" in their contract year. And I am speculating here, but was there ANY progress in this area over last season ? Or did Massie just sulk about it? I dunno, that is pure speculation on my part.
In my fantasy land world where my madness lives, I am currently pencilling in Bradley Sowell (I know K9 and a few others gonna love that ) as the starting right tackle for next season, unless "door #2" comes with a better option like Eric Winston.
Final Note: I love how blunt Harold Goodwin is, in this article. Tells it like it is. That may not work for some people, but for people like me, I thrive on that kind of honesty. If I am not good enough at what I am doing, just tell me, don't ***** foot around about it.
