Moved to proper forum
I only have one thing to add (other than the fact that I no longer have HBO and can't watch it anymore) I really hated the scene where they Beheaded Ned. They literally made my girlfriend cry. Sean something or other (don't remember his last name) also died in Lord of the Rings. He seems to do the dying thing quite well!
Weak. Now I gotta scroll all the way down here to see if its updated????
I'm reluctant to say much since I dont know where they are in the 2nd season and how deep the 2nd season goes into the 2nd and maybe 3rd books. They have so much information to cover I am not quite sure if it will get broken down by book or into smaller segments.
And yes, the author certainly keeps you on your toes, he does not have much fear of turning his story on its head.
But, once again, if you like the show, read the books. The first season of the show was good but in many ways it only skims the surface of the action in the books. He puts so much depth into his story its unreal.
I love Daenerys Targaryen. Shes probably my favorite character not named Tyrion or Arya.
Added one for you...That is my trio of favorites in the books...love them all.
In the first few books I loved Dany chapters (I dont wanna give anything away to the TV crowd) but I just found her choices down the road to be maddening.
Agreed on Tyrion and Arya though, those 2 are by far my favorite perspectives to read. I also love Cersei chapters. Not for their humor but watching her put out fires with gasoline and being so dense to not realize she is screwing herself... is priceless.
LOL @ the Cersei metaphor...exactly. I love that Tyrion knows how dense she is and plays it up at every turn.
Dany may be but a young girl and knows little of war, but she does kind of paint herself into corners. She struggles between trying to be hard and soft at the same time...I'm about 40% through book 5 right now and am already itching for book 6, though it will be what, 2 more years?
