Whats your worst hated one?

Mine was against David Boston. The ref said he used the wrong side of his foot and he was not inbounds. unbelievable.

You mean ever?

I expect this thread to be a doozy. The Cards are always on the wrong side of the stripes.

There have been way too many to remember. I can only think of two right now. 1) The noncall of pass interference in the endzone v. Dallas (Rob Moore). 2) Edge was down/forward progress stopped v. the Bears on MNF.

That's mine. I literally picked up our couch and threw it across the room (it was a ratan couch, so it wasn't the heaviest thing in the world). Anyway, I've never been that angry over a non call in my life (outside of Spurs v Suns)

I will stick to just last year and say the pass interference on AW in Baltimore. Our team really progreesed in that game. That would have had us starting the season 3-1 IIRC.

Yeah, the non-PI call in that Cowboys game has to be #1. Although, I actually told the Pukes fan next to me right after that that we would get them in the playoffs as payback. And, we actually did.

Two others I remember clearly happened in OT:

1. We were driving for a game-winning FG against the Skins, and a fumble was called on Leeland McElroy who was clearly down. (This was before instant replay.) The next play, the they chucked a bomb for a winning TD.

2. Against Philly, Plummer was called for Intentional Grounding for a pass that, literally, hit the feet of Larry Centers. By far, the worst IG call I've ever seen. It killed our drive, we punted, and they drove for a winning score.

I was at that game with my Dad. More than miserable.

EASY!

The non call on Adrian Wilson when Larry Johnson took a screen 80 yards.

It would have been more inconspicious if the guy hit him in the head with a bat.

Was that also the play he almost got his head taken off, or am I thinking of a different one?

I remember that. He dragged his toes going out of bounds backwards and since his heel came down out of bounds they called no TD. Even though his toes were down and dragged inbounds before his heel ever came down. It was easily one of the worst calls I've ever seen.

it was an unnecessary roughness personal foul --

but remember, the game was tied at the time. Heap did hold on to the ball, and Baltimore still had a time out at around mid field.

It was a bad call, but its no certainty that the Cards win if it wasnt made.

Bigger was the non-pass interference on Kurt's throw to BJ in the endzone at the end. Even the Balt beatwriter wondered in the paper how PI wasnt called.

The game a couple years back, maybe last year, when Fitz caught the ball down by the endzone, ROLLED over, and a guy rolled on top of him (hello, down by contact) and yanked the ball away....and they called it a turnover. Incredible. One of the absolute worst calls I've ever seen in my life.

A Dubs hit on Heap last year, it made me sick to my stomach that they missed it and are pussifying the game, if it keeps up the NFL is going to be dead, it's already treading lightly in the "entertainment" area instead of where it should be focused which is "SPORTS!"

That hit WAS legal, and if you disagree you're wrong simple as that. :)

I remember that play. I must have watched it 100 times.

Here is my meltdown that day, in the wayback machine. Dec 12th, 2006.

That fitz call was possibly one of the worst of all season, for any team. Blown on replay. There is an angle showing peterson laying on the ground, fitz clearly down, CLEARLY BEEN DOWN, and no ball in peterson's hands, while he lays sprawled out on the field...then he strips it..

By the ruling of that, you could tackle a guy, then after he's down, take the ball from him and it's an interception.

Just a disgustingly bad call. TERRIBLE. Should have been our ball on the 5 yard line.

And Seahawk writers had the temerity to say that they were getting the short end of the calls? Really? Holy NFL apology letter batman, but that was just wrong, wrong, wrong.

For the rest of the year, everyone please when referring to Leinart's passing stats, make sure you subtract one interception because even Ray Charles saw that one was not an INT.

something we can definitely comiserate on.........

2003 - ravens/seahawks - seattle up by 3 - have the ball - under a minute left to play, about to be 3rd down ......... refs call an incorrect penalty on the seahawks, ravens go to use final timeout - refs say penalty stoppage means no need for TO ....... refs huddle and reverse the penalty as it was in error ....... instead of starting the clock seattle had to run a play as if it were a dead ball allowing the ravens to use their final TO between 3rd & 4th down - 4th down doesn't work, ravens get the ball back with 40 seconds instead of 10 seconds and tie the game up with a FG and win in OT - this led them to be the #2 WC where they travelled to GB for the famous "take the ball and score" game ...... the league called the situation an "“an administrative error from the officiating crew.”

2004 - monday night game versus the cowboys - under 2 minutes left - keyshawn catches a ball with one foot in and an arm out - of course that's a TD ....... under 2 minutes the replay official never decided to take a look at it

2005 - of all the calls in XL - none was more mind blowing than calling hasselbeck for an illegal block when he tackled the ball carrier after an int ........... i still can't understand how on this one

and finally the one that helped bring replay back to the nfl...........

You must be registered for see images

this was fun because the ref stated he blew the call, but it was only because he confused the helmet with the ball............
