bandwagon sucks - a lot of my favorite hawk sites have gone to crap - and not all of it is new fans either - a lot of the characters that put a bad stink on the place are long time fans who have been exposed to the computer aspects with the increased success and just don't know how to act right

i'll obviously take it as part of the success - but the changes do indeed suck

Yeah, I went out to lunch the other day with a guy who just moved here. He was talking about Leinart and the Cards and spoke in terms of "we." Whenever the Cards do well the Webirds come out. I can't say that it upsets me though.

It would be the least enjoyable part of success for the team.
I've taken to wearing my favortie old logo hat since the draft.
Also broke my Swann jersey out of mothballs.

We all gotta remember. Contrary to popular belief...there are a lot of "home team" fans here in the Valley (c'mon with 3.6 million people there's more than enough to support a NFL team). In fact, enough to sell out the Cardinal Stadium already for next year. Where have they been all these years you ask? At home in the Air Condition.

That was me for 15 years. I work outside in the four hundred and eleven degree heat. I'll be damned if I'm gonna go sit in Sun Devil Stadium on my day off. By the time the weather cooled off...the Cardinals were always like 2 - 6. Now why would I go spend my hard earned money on that?

Fast forward to 2006. Air condition at last! Me and my family bought season tickets this year and will continue for as long as we can. The new air-conditioned stadium has now turned the 25,000 die-hards into 65,000 die-hards!!!

We've been here...just waiting... :)

For even us out-of-towners....this is great news. One of the things that always bothered me was listening to a Cards Home contest and hearing the opponent teams fans cheering louder than ours.

Of course thiat won't happen this year for 2 reasons....sell-out home crowds and the other team having nothing to cheer about.

This is no excuse to me. You live in Arizona, hell ya its hot. Diehard means rain, sleet or snow everywhere else. Here its 80 thru 115 degrees. There is still only 25,000 diehard fans imo...

Some of my best memories are sweating to death while cheering in the stands. Some small, masochistic side of me will miss it.

I'm there with you. It is almost like 25,000 of us will now have to become "civilized."

War the Cro Magnon Cardsfan.

I am so bummed that I could not afford season tickets this year. I have had them in the past and have gone to 3 or 4 games a year when I didn't have season tickets. This year my friend and I were going to buy them last Friday after we got paid. But it was too late by then. It's ironic that I have suffered years of abuse for being a Cardinals' fan when they sucked and now I won't be able to see them live at their new stadium because of all the band wagon jumpers. I lost my job last year and was out of work for a couple of months, otherwise I would have bought tickets as soon as they were available. I hope I can go to at least 2 games this year. Still, it's frustrating. At least I'm happy for the Cardinals and I will be able to see the home games on TV.

what is good about all the bandwagon fans is that you are not going to have to listen to all the badgering of the opponents fans. it will be filled with cardinal red enstead cowpies or fudgepackers fans. bring on those lions

For this power and glory you so be called 25,000 diehard fans possess, you failed to make this team a winner. But 65,000 of us can do this. And the team players will not be able to pick you out of the crowd when we are all on our feet. You need us more than the teams needs only you.

how does a fan make this team a winner? Hey, jump on bro, I dont care. I like the fact that I dont have to sit and defend this team anymore. But to say you are a die hard when weather conditions permit is ridiculous. Your right, the remaining 30,000 seats now being filled only increase revenue for the team, hence enabling them to keep a decent product on the field. We will have down years again. We will rebuild and endure 4-12 seasons eventually. Hey, the diehards are the ones who were here before you came, and will be here well after you leave.

I will get over it, its not like they are "mine", but I have taken a lot of **** throughout the years hanging with this team, and I have NEVER seen more card fans than right now. Like I said, whatever, its all good. Dont call me out though. Saying it was too hot to go, but you have been a "huge" fan is ridiculous, at least by my account, having sat there in the heat. And you know what, it really wasnt all that bad to tell you the truth, especially by the 3rd quarter. I guess some folks will never know.

i hear that - the pricing seemed a little odd at the stadium - a steal on the lowers, maybe a touch high on the uppers (not that bad though) - but it's hard to saying any pricing is off when they sold out as it's obvious that is what the market would bear

that's kind of how I got into the tickets this year - one of my good buddies used to buy the flex pack - this past winter he bought a new house and got engaged/married - with all that expense he gave up his flex pack

when finding out there weren't flex packs in the new stadium and hearing the ticket prices he was kind of bummed about not being able to get to any - originally we were going to split between 4 guys, ended up being just 3 of us going in on them

always difficult spreading out the games, but I definitely get the seahawks and should get another game when the hawks aren't playing at the same time - i'll end up getting a 3rd game that may overlap, but i'll just keep my eyes off the scoreboard and fire up the tivo

it's going to cost about $140 a game - try to find a couple buddies who felt shut out and get them excited about it

that's how it happened with us - he was kind of moping about not being able to go and i started talking about how much fun it is to watch any pro game live, tailgating and all that stuff and eventually we had enough people to let it fit in our budgets
