Did anyone else get the Suns.com email today welcoming Barbosa back? :D

They said after 5 days off the Suns were ready to play the Lakers, then the very next paragraph welcomed Barbosa back. The two paragraphs together seemed to IMPLY that Barbosa would be playing this Friday against the Lakers. Oopppps!

Coach Alvin Gentry said as early as Tuesday that Barbosa was actually shooting the ball better than anticipated, and indicated he thought that he would be able to play in some role against the Lakers.

"No, I'm going to wait," he said. "I don't know how many games. I'm not strong yet with the (right) hand. It's still a little bit weak. I can't pass the way I want to pass. Hopefully I'll be back soon. I'm excited and wanted to play, but I want to make sure I get back right."

Why doesn't Barbosa take off the Timberwolves game and get an extra 3 days rest before the Suns play the Jazz on Friday. Yes, I'm at least being partially sarcastic.

IMO, he is going to have to play with some soreness/ weakness in his wrist/ hand sooner or later.

He definitely should not be playing international basketball and risk injury when the team that is paying his salary needs him. If the Suns keep him I hope this changes.
