Barcelona defender dreams of facing Real Madrid in Champions League final – ‘Would be good’
Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi has expressed his desire to play in a UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid this season.
With the final set to take place in Munich, the idea of facing their biggest rivals on the grandest stage excites him.
Inside the Barcelona dressing room, there is no fear regarding a potential showdown with Los Blancos. In fact, the players would embrace the opportunity to compete against Real Madrid in such a high-stakes match.
The belief within the squad remains strong, and they are ready for any challenge that comes their way.

Reflecting on his best moment since breaking into the first team, the Girona-born defender looks back fondly on his experience in the Spanish Super Cup final.
That game was special for him, as Barcelona secured a dominant victory over Real Madrid, allowing him to celebrate his first major trophy with the club.
“My best memory is when we played in the final of the Super Cup and we beat Real Madrid 5-2 and I was able to win my first title with the club of my life,” he said.
When asked about the possibility of facing Real Madrid in a Champions League final, Cubarsi did not shy away from the idea.
“Well, little by little, the truth is that it would be a good final,” he admitted.
Focus and idols
Like the rest of his teammates, Cubarsi is focused on the crucial phase of the season. With trophies now on the line, the team understands the importance of staying sharp and delivering their best performances in every match.

“Now is the time when the titles are decided and we have to be very focused as it is the most important part of the season.”
As a defender who has come through La Masia, Cubarsi has always looked up to legendary centre-backs from the club’s past. His inspirations are clear—Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique.
He has studied their styles closely and aims to develop a playing style that blends their best attributes.
“I have always looked at Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique and I try to be like them,” he noted.
If he can combine the leadership, aggression, and defensive intelligence of Puyol with the composure and technical ability of Pique, he has the potential to become a truly outstanding player for Barcelona.
