On the Tnt after game show, Charles Barkley said that Bryan Colangelo is long gone and that he talked to him during the all-star break. Robert Sarver wanted to get rid of him since he took the team. The only reason he was gm was because Jerry Colangelo wanted to protect his son, so they threw in a 3 yr contract kicker. Also he said that the job is eventually going to go to Steve Kerr whenever he wants it. But according to Barkley, Bryan Colangelo is going to Toronto.

Charles Barkley would criticize the Phoenix Suns organization if they were to find a cure for the common cold. "Well, sure, I'm excited about the cure for the common cold - who wouldn't be. Look, I like Phoenix, I like what they've done, but ain't no way that cure is going to work in the real world."

I wonder what the over/under is on the time it takes Barkley to hang himself after Phx finally wins a championship.

i mean b. colangelo did build up a nice team here. and if he wants to leave, let him. what could you do about it anyway. but what would really bug me is steve kerr being his successor. all he did was bashing the suns everytime in the preseason and telling how wonderful duncan his during all-star game.
He is involved in the organisation but shows little sign of loyalty whenever he says something. i can't stand that and don't like him.

Or even better.. "how can Phoenix the home of 100 degree weather and 100s of days with no rain, find the cure for the common cold?"

Depends on how fast Steve Kerr can pry Tim Duncan away from San Antonio! :)

Lets not give BC too much credit here: Amare wanted KT, Nash wanted Bell, How about D Antoni and the coaches? Who were their choices? Many of our players are having career years, so they were underrated, or maybe they just developed into better players(credit coaches). Just because BC was in charge, doesnt mean all personnel decisions were his idea. Everyone knows that managers manage, but they dont do the x's and o's as much as your coaches and talent evaluators. Granted, BC was part of the process, but he was not THE process. I would pay D'Antoni more than BC based on impact.

The Suns have always been a team that operated as a committee, but it has to start at the top, and that's BC. However, I've got to wonder if Jerry Colangelo may have meant more to this current team than Brian.

Point is BC did not make this team by himself and if he wants to go to a loser for more money in the end he will, just like Joe. BC's role in the current make up of this team may be alot less than he gets credit for.

I set the over/under number at 8.5, for the number of posts between a mention of phx winning a championship and BIM chiming in with a reminder that our trophy shelf is empty. Where did I get 8.5 you may ask???? Ask a laker fan.

Average number of times Lamar Odom gives Kobe a steely glare behind his back during games?

"it has to start at the top": thats Sarver, or previously Jerry Colangelo, not Bryan Colangelo. I'm betting that Sarver had more to do with Nash wanting to sign and Amare seems to be closer to Sarver. Still, I dont buy the "starts at the top" crap as the reason for success. I think that it all starts and ends at the player level. Our euro look, probably has to do with D'Antoni. Great player development has to do with Ivaroni, Gentry, Weber, and Dan D'Antoni. (Mike)D'Antoni seems to be able to get alot of different personalities to mesh. Somehow, he has a whole range of basketball personalities "on the same page", as THE most unselfish team in the NBA. This is especially difficult given that NBA convention is to pay the more selfish players(ppg) the most come contract time.

I think Kerr should be our GM and Chapman should replace McHale. That would bump the league up to an all-time high in "white three point specialists running NBA franchises".

lets not start with the BC backlash. this is just what happened last time with JJ. by the end of it, JJ's image was destroyed in the phoenix area.

i'm not throwing BC under a bus. he's done a great job. imo, getting rid of him is foolhardy and something only a control freak would want. however, you don't make many millions without being a control freak.

Has it ever been fewer than 8.5? I know which way I'd bet that line.

Wow, cool signs! Where did you get them?

Just found them searching on the Net. I was thinking about keeping them in my signature to keep the suns board alert at all time what the troll status is. Especially with the playoffs coming and matchups with the Spurs or Mavs (and their fans) looming.

That would be pretty funny, boise, especially if you match it with the government's system... :D
