Davis didn't name a specific team he would like to play for but Ramasar said that his client would be a good fit with teams such as New York, Phoenix, the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami.
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/nba/hornets/2004-09-02-davis-demand_x.htm

Even if the Suns were willing to trade Nash quickly ( that's the only way Baron would be a fit) they would have to wait until Dec15th and Nash would have to be injured or be a big bust for the Suns.
At that time NO will realize that they need to rebuild to have any playoff hopes at all in the future and probably prefer to trade Baron Davis for cap relief anyway.

Funny though his agent mentions 2 teams as fits who have starting PGs at the same or at least similiar level.

This offseason is crazy. So many stars bitching and moaning about demanding trades to teams with great future or present instead of trying to build their own team.

Well in Davis' case understandable. I wouldn't want to play for the Hornets either. It's just a matter of time until they move again. Give them 2 years maximum and they will be out of NO.

I'd rather have Nash. Nash might be broken down in three or four years, but Davis is broken down already.

I am getting real sick of professional athletes!!

These guys make millions and have to be some of the most spoiled humans on earth!!

They have no loyalty to anyone but themselves! To them, their employers are there for them to tell what to do, and fully expect them to do exactly what they tell them to do. Davis just signed a long term contract and was certainly happy to do that, now he wants to move to another team.

I generally agree with you about the spoiled athletes, especially when they are demanding trades after signing large contracts. However in this case it's probably not fair just yet. According to the article I read Baron Davis has not asked for a trade. His agent was merely suggesting it as a possible option.

Well blame the teams as well. Orlando started the trend by bending over for TMac.

Maybe New Orleans would feel pressured now to deal Magloire to get someone to make Baron happy..

Davis does play SG for Hornets - although JJ can play a similar role, only 5-6 inches taller. I do like Davis' 3PT shooting ability 2.8 3PTers/made but Suns have added 2 above average shooters and I'd rather not have Suns lead league in 3PTers made? IMO Suns have the shooters, to open up floor for Amare.

Davis does put up great stats overall but Marion or JJ would have-to go in trade, Davis is talented though - 1 of the top Guard talents (1 of my favorites to watch). He does average 2.3 Steals I believe and over 7+ assists - so I wouldn't be disappointed if a trade were made but IMO a center might be biggest need? IMO Suns might/should just sign Scott Williams and get Center next year...

It's hard to think of an NBA star that did not demand a trade this offseason

Kevin Garnett

Kevin Garnett...........he does not have time to ask for a trade, he is too busy punching his teammates in practice.

He is another big jerk in this business of sports!!!

Sometimes I wonder if agents are as smart as they are supposed to be. Miami, Houston, and the Lakers are all in despirate need of a top point guard. The Suns WERE in the market for a point guard before signing Nash. Perhaps he just didn't notice.

I think Davis' agent is implying that Baron would be an upgrade for all of those teams. I'm sure Baron feels the same way. ;)

What I like about this (and the only thing that interests me at all) is that the Suns are being mentioned as a desirable destination. Considering that Phoenix brings up the rear among those four teams where nightlife and publicity are concerned, it's a nice vote of confidence for the Suns.
