Now we HAVE to draft a DB and instaed of easing him into the lineup,he'll have to be a main contributor.Another excellent move by Graves.Maybe we can sign another FB. If we would've at least made an offer to another good CB(sorry Mackin doesn't fit the bill) then i could see letting him go without any effort to retain him.

How do you that the CARDS haven't in contact with some of the other available DBs?
Furthermore, I believe that most on this board expect that we'd make a first day DB choice, no matter who signed to start this year.
P.S. on pure raw talent Wilson could adequately replace Barrett, if the finally decide to move him there.

Now we ARE in serious trouble. If we don't sign Macklin, our entire draft must shift to focus on getting 2 starting CBs.
I disagree completely with those of you who didn't like Barrett. You underrated him terribly.

I liked Barrett. Three and half million is not alot to pay a starting CB in the NFL. It was Barret's first year as the main CB.He's only going to get better. He's not the best CB out there but the Cards just let their best CB walk away for nothing and it looks like they have nothing to replace him with.Starks coming back with Barret would have been an at least average to above average starting CB duo.Now we HAVE to draft a DB and instaed of easing him into the lineup,he'll have to be a main contributor.Another excellent move by Graves.Maybe we can sign another FB.
