I was watching it again and almost started laughing when I couldnt remember how many times Ive seen it.. But something just keeps making me put it back in my dvd player even though I know it word for word..

Soooo.. Im guessing Ive seen it close to 400 times..

Any guesses on how many times youve seen it?

Definitely triple digits. Great movie, great story, could careless how historically inaccurate it is. We all know the Brits are dirty, aristocratic, incestuous bastids.

However I think you are a lying SOB if you say you have seen it beginning to end 400 times.

That means you have spent more than 50 days of your life over the last 13 years watching braveheart! NOTTTTT! :lies:

Youd be surprised.. I watch very few movies.. I have alot and am in the process of either selling them or giving them away..

I once went thru a 5 month streak of watching Boyz In the Hood every day for 7 days a week straight..

Im not what youd call a movie geek.. :)

Wow. I have never watched a single movie in the triple digits. This movie is so long.

I have seen this twice all the way through, and a handful of times in pieces.

Once. Same with Gladiator.

I have probably seen Pulp Fiction 20-25 times and Star Wars probably 30 times or so.

3 Times start-to-finish, dozens of bit-and-pieces here and there while channel surfing.

My issue with Braveheart is the same issue I had with 300. The historically inaccuracies where incredible. As a matter of fact, I remember Mel Gibson being quoted as saying that "..you never let the truth get in the way of a good story..."

It's a good enough film, just not on the same level as Star Wars, which I have seen 400+ times.

Because Star Wars was much more historically accurate. :D

Shakespeare, amongst others, proves that you never need to let history get in the way of a good story. You let the history augment the story, sure, but you make sure it is a good story and the story you want to tell first and foremost.
