I know we're past the TENN. game but I wanted to get your thoughts on this. 1st, the fumble itself I thought was more on Matt as I seem to re-call a "pitched" end-over-end toss to Beanie. It just seems that after that play, Beanie "disappeared" from the game. Except for the nice 21-yard catch I don't recall him getting many "touches". While ALOT of the blame was heaped on Matt and the conservative play-calling (ie; 10 pts.), I would suggest that being Beanie-less MAKES the Offense MORE predictable. You CAN'T defense SPEED & POWER and Beanie has those qualities. Hopefully, we'll see ALOT MORE of Beanie against Minnesota. One more thing. This is NOT a knock on Timmy Hightower who has made GREAT contributions ALL year. The guys' all heart. Thoughts?? GO CARDS!! :D

I don't agree. The pitch from Matt was perfect and Beanie dropped it taking his eyes off the ball looking at a defender. He was out for a while after that as he should be. Have to protect the ball. He had touches but Hightower was getting some yards going outside. The one 8 yard run called back on the Wells hold was a killer. Beanie will learn and some day get the ball 20-25 times a game. Right now he is not outperforming TH.

OKAY...Guess my eyes were playing tricks on me...

Hey! I'm 52! LOL Appreciate the comments. :) I understand the importance of NOT giving the ball-up. Just saying that Beanie's "presence" in the game gives us a MUCH-different look. I'm hoping that his BREAK-OUT game will come this week against the Vikings. We've got to keep the Vikings' defense off-balance or they'll be in our back-field ALL-NITE!! It'll be very interesting to see what game plan the coaches have come up with for this week. GO CARDS!! :D

I am 51 so don't be so sure I am right. I hope he has a big game this week as well. I believe he is the real deal with the vision and power that can't be taught. We will be seeing big games from Beanie. Just have to be patient.

Kinda OT:

The way they pitch the football in the game of football is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. It is woefully ineffective.

When pitching the ball back to the RB, they should use a rugby pass. Way easier to catch, and control.

they need to quit runing that play until Wells starts catching the pitch. Both fumbles were on him. You could see that he wasn't watching it in and looking at the defenders. Whiz should have sat him for awhile because that's just lack of concentration and no excuse for it.

Yeah I know why they do that play with Beanie, he's the guy that has the speed and quicks to bust that for a big play. That was the one play JJ had success with for us. The problem is beanie has dropped it 2 weeks in a row now.

Gotta clean all that stuff up if we want to win Sunday night.

... and how would one get the right result without running the play? ;)

Well I want to give Beanie credit for making the best catch he's probably ever made in his college AND professional career as Leinart threw a dime to him on Sunday and he was aware of the route and broke it and became the hot read and Leinart was RIGHT ON TOP of it and threw a perfect ball over the linebacker and infront of the safety.

That play was something new we've added to our game and I hope we NEVER take it out.We need to get Beanie in space and if that was'nt so close to the sidelines(not faulting anyone) Beanie would have had a chance to make a safety miss or juke him and outrun anyone for a touchdown.

Its just a matter of time.Beanie is a major weapon.Hope we learn as many ways as we can to use him. What a bunch of dopes the other 31 teams are for passing up on Wells. Then again they don't have coach Lott to turn him into super Beanie either.:D

Really looking for both our running backs to outshine AP this Sunday night. We've played the best in the last two weeks. We put a major back injury on Steven Jackson and Chris Johnson only busted for one on us.Could have been called holding on Big Gabe Watson but was'nt.

let me clarify.Quit running it when it can influence the game. Run it a couple times with a 20+ lead. :mulli:

Headed to the "M" for Sunday night football. Come join us!

Didn't Beanie fumble one in the Rams game, and they ran it again later to the weak side with a decent gain?
