I'm actually pretty surprised the new cba got passed without significantly changing the policies about weed. Enough players have brought up the impact of using thc and cbd for pain management and concussion trauma stuff that I'm surprised it wasn't allowed

With the new CBA weed is no longer a banned substance. There can be no suspension from a failed drug test due to weed. So who cares if he failed for weed.

Likely weed or Amphetamines and by rule if he’s clean for 60 days it’s basically expunged. Nonetheless, I’m hearing he lost a chance to be considered by the Giants. While I rated him a long shot for that slot, he’s probably cost himself millions. Privacy rules prevent naming the drug publicly but the teams know. If it’s weed, it’s less significant, but it will bother some teams who worry about image. With several OTs being rated closely, this is a separating factor. He likely is now fourth selected and maybe Jones or even Cleveland leaps passed him.

There are maybe half dozen players who were super dominate this past season in this class. One is coming off a major injury. Others had their moments.
Becton needs to improve but theres a lot to be reckoned with when your lined up on the other side of him. He'll bury you. He's just not adept at getting to the next level consistently.
