And start the unit that played the 4th quarter last night against the Warriors. Ok, maybe leave Amare in instead of JR. They deserved it.

Coach has been saying that Marion and Bell are carrying injuries as excuse. Then rest them for a game! And it maybe better to rest Nash against Iverson anyway.

So, let Amare/Kurt/Diaw/LB/Banks start and sub in Bell, JR, Rose and even PB. I think we'd have a much better chance not to embarass ourselves on our own court.

The Suns have a habit of ratcheting up their play substantially when the game in question counts for something. Theoretically every game counts for something but they've apparently been coasting through games they don't consider particularly important. No focus. Lack of effort. "Sleepwalking" as one commentator put it. Some are confusing this lack of effort with a complete meltdown. I see it as more of a see-saw. Some games they show up, some they don't.

The Nuggets are a potential first round matchup and the Suns have something to prove. Benching the starters would be a sign of weakness. I have a feeling they'll come out firing tomorrow. With a win over the Nuggets they'll have just enough swagger for the big game againgst the Mavs on Sunday.

By the time the playoffs roll around the Sleepwalking giant will be fully awake.

I predict a 24 point suns loss if they keep the starters in.

The sad thing is I get the serious feeling the nuggets are going to have ANOTHER blow out game against us, showing how truly horrible we have quickly become.

Not if I can keep my personal streak going. Have gone up for eight games this year and they were all wins. We're going tonight -- and Sunday.

I watched the game again. It really seemed as if Nash was either tired or didn't want to give out more energy to counter the hot attacks by the Warriors. He was rightly so, because the game didn't mean as much to us than to GS. But so will be the game tomorrow. So, why don't we just rest Nash and get Banks some playing time, since he will be useful against all the guards from Iverson, Parker, to Harris/Terry, Wade/Billups.

Yep, about as unnecessary as Skumbag's original post.

Why is that exactly? The Suns got killed the last time they played the Nuggets and they haven't been playing well. If he feels that that is what's going to happen then I don't see a problem with it. He posted his opinion without referring to someone else's thoughts as stupid and ignorant

Should be bench the starting 5 against the Nuggets? No, but I would bench Bell and Marion... if they are hurt, let them get some rest and get better.

i say let bell and marion start because we need to stop AI and melo with those two, and if they arent doing well then we need to switch up the coverage.

The problem is still Boris, I think. He was dragging the other starters down at the start of the 1st and 3rd quarters.

D'Antoni's made it clear that he's not going to change the starting lineup, so it's up to Boris to work himself back up. He actually played well for a 3-minute stretch in the second quarter, so maybe he's still coasting, biding his time until game 3 of the Spurs series.

Somehow ones beloved team can get the better of one's emotions at ease.

Diaw and Amare were the two starters that played well last night. Nash was the problem.

His man would hit a 3 (or the guy he should've been covering in the zone) and then he'd come down and brick a 2. without looking to amare or diaw

the suns lack of recent success shows you Mike Dantoni's stubborness.
Kurt should start to help rebound and play defense. Barbosa, diaw should come off the bench. Banks played good shutdown defense on Baron davis last night and they are going to need that in the playoffs.

Last nights game showed that marcus banks can play ball!! but he does not have to be the primary ball handler. Barbosa and Diaw have enough skill to take pressure off nash. Kurt also showed he can post up.

Jalen Rose is good but He does not play defense.

Dantoni should stop being so cocky and use lame excuses. he needs to teach Amare, nash, Diaw, barbosa, marion some sense of responsibility.
If the team wins its because they led them to it and if they lose its because they led them to it.

Nash Plays hard but his commitment to defend his man is lacking, Amare defensively rebounds only when he feels like it, Marion was calling for Defensive player of the Year but hasnt shown why he should be as off late, Rajah is fine but if his knees hurt he should tell Mike to play the younger guys to help the team play mature.

last night's game showed phx's evry single weakness from lack of commitment on defense by the starters to the cockyness of mike dantoni.

If you dont believe me- read what they thought about giving up 45 points in the first quarter.

I wouldnt mind having the starters get some rest sure a higher seeding would be nice but better to have our starters fresh before playoff time, plus if we win a few games without nash playing that should give our bench some confidence.

I think Barbosa and KT are performing more consistently than Bell and Diaw and that deserves rewarding.

No kidding, this thread is ridiculous. Yeah, because the Nuggets kicked the living crap out of the Suns the last time means it will certainly happen this time.

Why not forfeit the game then? Rest everyone.

This may rank as one of the worst threads ever because the premise is so pointless.

i think it brings up a perfectly valid point. the bench got it done and the starters didnt, playing against a team that plays very similarly to denver.
