isnt it amazing with running backs -- it just seems like at some point they hit a cliff and they are done

Shaun Alexander went from MVP /setting records to downright below average in one season

The Texans should be all over him. Maybe Denver as well.

from what I hear from my Bengals insiders, he had a real attitude problem and was upset the team kept trying to replace him (with Chris Perry, with Kenny Irons, etc.) Rudi was great for what he did but was not the back the Bengals wanted for their O. however, he was awesome in his day.

he seems to have slowed down, but all indications are from the insiders that he was dogging it so he could get back at them for wanting to replace him. disappointing if true

With Chris Perry being the paragon of health this cut makes a lot of sense.

...wait, that's not the case at all.

I don't understand why the Bengals cut him right now. Next year, sure. But right now they don't have a terribly experiences backfield and Perry pulls his mangina and is out for long stretches every year.

What has happened to Kenny Watkins, he looked great last year?

Kenny Watson is expected to be a big part of the RB corps, as is Dede Dorsey, I think. Perry will be the starter. He's a great player but as Pariah pointed out seems to be injury-prone
