Word on the street is "elite" teams never lose games to QBs like TJ Yates or Landry Jones.

The facts of our suckage against Jones and their suckage against Yates means a 0-0 tie is in the offing.

Anyone think the Bengals might have been looking a bit to much into playing the cardinals at home possibly undefeated being part of why they lost tonight?

There were 10 upsets this week. By far the most this season.

Now that the Bengals have lost to a team that got annihilated by the Dolphins, the Cards are the second best team in the NFL by any standard.

We have the best offense Yds/Game and the third best defense Yds/Game.

Unreal

By any standard? Did you forget that record is a standard and a pretty solid one? The Panthers are still undefeated and 2 games up on us. And even one can even argue the Bengals considering they have a better record. I mean, you argue that the Bengals lost to a team that got killed by the Fins, but we lost to a team that just got killed by the Bears. And before you say the Bears are 4-5 and playing better, you can say the exact same thing about the Fins.

We're definitely in the mix, but I don't know how we are heads and tails the second best team in the league right now.

Records aside, who is better than us right now? I give NE the edge because our inability to cover a TE effectively Brady and Gronk would BBQ us although I think we could score on their defense.

What side does Watt play? Please don't say he'll be on Massie.

The Cardinals aren't playing the Texans this year. Well unless they both end up in the Super Bowl which is really unlikely for the Texans.

Yeah, I realized that and deleted my comment because it didn't make sense. My fear of Massie potentially getting CP killed clouded my judgement. :D

Have we faced a top TE this season? I'm asking in all seriousness. I think last night was the first time we faces a real TE. Either way, it's an improvement but I still don't think we can completely contain Gronk and Brady.

we've done a MUCH better job on the TE, but in fairness your last sentence, I don't think anyone can really contain Gronk and Brady.

What year do you think this is?

The cheatriots can barely get by teams like the Giants.

LOL... they're 9-0 with a better point differential then ANYONE. The idea that barely getting by the Giants is a huge ding on their undefeated record and best point differential in the game when looking at us NOT getting by teams like the Landry Jones led Steelers and Rams at home is kind of comical.

Gronk is far and away the top TE in the league and nobody can really contain him. The #2 guy from a yardage standpoint is Gary Barnidge in Cleveland and we've faced him. We've also faced the #5 guy in Benjamin Watson for New Orleans. So really, we have improved dramatically against the TE this year compared to the past when guys like Jared Cook looked like Pro Bowlers against us.

I don't understand why everyone is talking about being better than the patriots or Carolina or any of the others when the team we are playing next week is Cincy. And that is the only team we should be thinking about and be better than this next week.☺

We're fans. We're allowed to speculate. It does not cause bad juju. Players can't look ahead but we can. Hell, we can look forward to the next 7 games if we damned well choose and it doesn't mean a thing. Believe me, we are not so important that if WE, the fans look past a team it's going to mean a hill of beans.

Well, Brady and Gronk kill every team, but the Cardinals are statistically one of the best in the league this year vs. TEs. Shocking, i know... but true! #3 in yards given up to TEs, #2 in average yards per reception, and tied for #2 in TDs allowed to TEs (1).

...dbs

Oops, i now see that i'm the third or fourth person to make this same point! Should've caught up on the thread before posting!

Bengals had a stinker last night. Every team does and that's why I put little significance in the loss to Pittsburgh with Jones.

I've maintained all along that I think the two best teams are NE and the Cards. Also, I'd rank Pittsburgh 3rd right now so, even with Landry Jones and the bad calls, a loss in their building is not that much a concern to me.

The Rams loss was not good mainly because it was at home but everything, and I mean everything, went their way that day and sometimes that happens.

My top 5:
1- NE
2- AZ
3- Pitt
4- Car
5- any one of Cincy, GB, Den, Minn
