Was he our first really good FA signing? Do his accomplishments surpass that of Tony McCoy? :D

I'll never forget Berry waving the Cardinal flag around in Mexico City's stadium after we came back to beat the 49ers.

Great, great work Bert. Thanks for helping to turn the team around.

Good player! Awesome human being! Thanks Bert for the fun times. One of my favorite cardinal memories is you running around the U of P hoisting the NFC champs trophy above your head! The look on your face said it all!

Nothing but the best to you and yours!

Ditto... What a great guy and what a terrific move it was bringing B-Train here to the desert. Gonna miss you Bert! You are true class buddy... Thanks for all you did for the team, for us fans and for the community at large. You set the bar high man. Great Job and best of luck wherever the roads lead you next...

;)

Bert was my jersey when we changed to the new style. I wore that to every game for 3 years, and I will continue to wear it with pride. I give him a ton of the credit for help turning this franchise around. It showed free agents they could come here and be awesome.

I wish the injuries hadn't gotten to him and I'm sorry to see him go. Good luck B-Train!

Berry was definitely the player who brought the pride back. That win over Warner and the Giants was huge for us, and I'm glad Kurt redeemed himself with us instead of against us. But Bertrand--so great to see a player want to be here, and end up playing in the Super Bowl!

wow this is a sad and happy moment. I was hoping he'd be back again. I always wished he could've been an every down guy. He was definitely worth that much in my eyes and just wish he could've come back again, I was really hoping he'd sign again. Good luck to him

For those of you that don't know, Bertrand really dislikes being called "Bert".

It has been a priviledge to watch him interact with the fans every week on the Big Red Rage. He has seen it go from a little show no one attended at Jilly's to the standing room only incarnation it is now. He was an ambassador to the Cardinals on and off the field. I sincerly hope the organization has a place for him.

Cardinals' Bertrand Berry announces retirement
Comment
January 22 Arizona Republic

"Cardinals outside linebacker Bertrand Berry announced his retirement Thursday night on a weekly radio show he co-hosts. Berry played 12 seasons in the NFL , including the last six with the Cardinals. Berry finished his career with 65 sacks, including six this season in a part-time role. Berry, 34, signed with the Cardinals in 2004 and made the Pro Bowl in his first season, finishing the year with 14 1/2 sacks. His next two seasons were cut short by injuries, but Berry played in 29 games over the past two seasons. He had 40 sacks with the Cardinals, ranking him sixth on the franchise's all-time list.

I have to stop and say thanks to the B-Train.

You were a great Cardinal. You came to this team when it truly sucked, and you retired having seen a Superbowl run and back-to-back divsion championships.

Also, the best host the Big Red Rage ever had; I looked forward to Thursdays.
