Primus-"Jerry Was a Racecar Driver"
Primus-"Tommy The Cat"
Tool-"Schism"
RATM-"Bombtrack"
Probably a rush song but I can't think of one.
KLL said:Lord.... I'll never forget the first time I heard "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver"... I was so spellbound by Claypool's performance.....He just elevated bass playing to a higher level....took it to unexplored dimensions/heights....
Brandon_Webb said:Undertow is actually my least favorite, I think I even like Opiate more. Lateralus wins easily for me. The Grudge is my favorite song.

Hidden track on Undertow? I love APC. Except for Amotive Emotion etc. 13th Step and Mer De Noms are brilliant.KLL said:Yeah... I guess you've been more into Prog-Metal recently than I have been in a long time....It's one of those genres that I go thru phases liking..... Guess it depends on what mood I'm in.....
I've always loved that "hidden track" on "Undertow".... My friends and I would play that all of the time... it was just so twisted...yet hysterical....
Do you like A Perfect Circle as well?

My 3 favorite APC Songs:
Blue
The Noose
Judith
I actually don't like Weak and Powerless
KLL said:You've never heard it? It's definitely worth the wait (if you havent)... I won't disclose any specific details on it because I wouldnt want to "spoil" the experience for you......
If memory serves me (anyone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) you have to wait until track #69 or just don't stop the c.d. whatsoever (it's been awhile since I've listened to it) and then suddenly out of nowhere.... (won't fill in the blank)..... One of my friends came across it accidentally because he was once listening to "Undertow" and got sidetracked..... He forgot to stop the c.d. and then he got startled by some really loud sound and "unearthed"....Well..again.. wouldn't want to ruin any of it for you to the "slightest bit".... Please tell me when you've heard it because you'll be in for some shock....
My favorite APC song is "3 Libra's" with "Judith" being my 2nd.....
Other 2 bass riffs that come to mind at the moment:
1) "Rotten Apple" Mike Inez (Alice-in-Chains)
2) "The Distance" Victor Damiani (Cake)
Brandon_Webb said:I really overplayed 3 Libras when I first started listening to them.
So the hidden track is during "Disgustipation" but where in the song?
And the angel of the lord came unto me, snatching me up from my
place of slumber.
And took me on high, and higher still until we moved to the
spaces betwixt the air itself.
And he brought me into a vast farmlands of our own midwest.
And as we descended, cries of impending doom rose from the soil.
One thousand, nay a million voices full of fear.
And terror possesed me then.
And I begged,
"Angel of the Lord, what are these tortured screams?"
And the angel said unto me,
"These are the cries of the carrots, the cries of the carrots!
You see, Reverend Maynard, tomorrow is harvest day and to them
it is the holocaust."
And I sprang from my slumber drenched in sweat like the tears of
one million terrified brothers and roared,
"Hear me now, I have seen the light!
They have a consciousness, they have a life, they have a soul!
Damn you!
Let the rabbits wear glasses!
Save our brothers!"
Can I get an amen?
Can I get a hallelujah?
Thank you Jesus.
Life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on........
This is necessary.
It was daylight when you woke up in your ditch.
You looked up at your sky then.
That made blue be your color.
You had your knife there with you too.
When you stood up there was goo all over your clothes.
Your hands were sticky.
You wiped them on your grass, so now your color was green.
Oh Lord, why did everything always have to keep changing like
this.
You were already getting nervous again.
Your head hurt and it rang when you stood up.
Your head was almost empty.
It always hurt you when you woke up like this.
You crawled up out of your ditch onto your gravel road and began
to walk,
waiting for the rest of your mind to come back to you.
You can see the car parked far down the road and you walked
toward it.
"If God is our Father," you thought, "then Satan must be our
cousin.
" Why didn't anyone else understand these important things?
You got to your car and tried all the doors.
They were locked.
It was a red car and it was new.
There was an expensive leather camera case laying on the seat.
Out across your field, you could see two tiny people walking by
your woods.
You began to walk towards them.
Now red was your color and, of course, those little people out
there were yours too.
Brandon_Webb said:Yeah I think Disgustipation has always been credited the only thing diffrent was the numbers (On some of them it's #69)
KLL said:Tool.. my favorite album of theirs is "Undertow",
Rivercard said:Sounds lilke there are a lot of Tool fans here. Has anyone heard the album called The Replicants? Following his split with Tool in 1995, Paul D'Amour got together with keyboardist Chris Pitman and Failure members Greg Edwards and Ken Andrews for an offhanded project known as the Replicants. The Replicants were basically a glorified cover band creating spectacular versions of songs from Paul McCartney (Silly Love Songs) , Pink Floyd (Ibiza Bar), The Cars (Just What I needed), and David Bowie (The Bewlay Brothers) among several others. It's a great record - highly recommended if you can find it.
