1st Rd
Stephon Tuitt Gives the Cards a huge DE To replace DD90. Can be a corner stone on the line with Campbell going forward. Can Play Many spots on the D-line.

2nd Rd

Keith McGill A 6'3 CB runs a 4.48 has cover skills. He can become an above avg #2 CB with the help of Peterson and Badger.

He may need to get a little stronger and help in run support better.

3rd Rd

Jimmie Ward SS

Ward can Hit and does very well in pass coverage. With that pick the cards have a young but very athletic secondary.

Peterson and Ward Locking down the strong side of the field. Badger and the 6'3 Mcgill on the other.

4th Rd

Arthur Lynch

Can block and catch is a great pickup here. He and Housler together hopefully can give the cards a threat at TE.

5th Rd Best Speed WR on the board

6th Rd Best OL on the board

7th Rd BPA

I like Tuitt and think he can be a defensive cornerstone. He wouldn't be a "Wow" pick, but he's going to be a good NFL player and could come in and replace DD in the near future.

The problem is that getting a pass rusher and LT in FA is extremely expensive and we don't have the CAP space.

I don't think our DB's are as bad as many think they are, FA is where you can get solid and affordable players in the secondary.

Not saying this wouldn't be a good draft just listing my concerns.

I agree. Replace the 2nd round pick with a pass rusher like Chris Smith or Michael Sam and I'd be fine with this.

I think this is pretty good overall assuming we get our FA LT. The pass rusher has been very illusive so I would opt to go for OLB at #20 because I thing a down linemen would be easier to find in FA or the draft. I just don't see FA that can get to the QB come on to the market that often.

If you want a draft for the future...

1-Dee Ford - OLB - Auburn
2-Chris Smith - OLB - Arkansas
3-Morgan Moses - OT - Virgina or James Hurst - OT - North Carolina
4-Jaylen Watkins - CB - Florida
5-Brandon Coleman - WR - Rutgers
6-Aaron Colvin - CB - Oklahoma

Pass rushers, cornerbacks, and offensive tackles aren't cheap, and you can never have too many WRs. Consider we will spend 1.4 on Lorenzo Alexander, 3 on John Abraham, and 4 on Powers this year, and spent 3 mil for Winston and 1.5? on Cason last year. If we are planning for the future, these are positions where players don't usually come available and we could save money down the road if we can develop them.

I think we need to find a way to free up enough money to get a FA OT first and foremost. My favorite is Collins over Albert or Monroe. He's just as good as both and would require far less money to get. Whether that requires restructuring Fitz and/or Dockett, releasing Williams or Washington, or even trading Fitz/Washington/Williams. Once the FA OT is in tow, that frees up a TON of our draft choices. My offseason needs boiled down to 2 moves to set us up for a great run over then next few years and that was getting one of the 3 best FA OT's and trying to get FS TJ Ward. Unfortunately Ward re-signed with Buffalo. So, if we can get one of the 3 OT's, then we can look at getting a TEoF as well as a speed rusher and either an OLB/S that can cover the elite TE's in the league through the draft.
